|
|
Well...after 3 years of fantastic fun playing this game the unthinkable has happened.A few weeks ago my brand new HDD crashed and 7 years of work went with it.It had only been installed for about 5 weeks.I did back up most things however I forgot to keep my FsPassenger un-lock key.Result...very "quiet" flying...and Its just not the same......so.....if you want a free game in its box...contact me at martinmax69@hotmail.com

I cannot afford to send it for free being on a pension so if you want it you will have to pay for postage.Sorry if this sounds fatalistic but its how I feel at the moment.Im in Australia if that helps.
Id also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has helped me over the past 2 years or so....although I haven't replied to too many 'Q' I hoped I helped someone else...Im not very computer 'literate'.Keep up the great work you Guys n Gals are doing here and good-bye from me  |

hang on a sec. Before you have every tom *beep* and harry calling you for a game, why dont you return to the store with the hard drive saying its just failed and i have lost my work. Harddrives are supposed to last much longer than 5 weeks. I know its a pain, but it should all be under warranty.
As for the fspassengers key, try contacting fspassengers themselves. they have a system for retrieving keys. If you have your order info, they should be able to help you out.
As for giving it away. You would want it back shortly. After having just coaxed a freind from wanting to sell it for £20. He was in that sort of mood and after i knocked a little sense into him, he realised that this game isnt worth £20, its worth a lot more. For it gives you enjoyment. |

I had a problem like that but not with FSPassengers! All i did was email the company and they said to me i would have to purchase a new 1! but then i read through the terms & Conditions and it said absolute nothing about that! the only thing closest to that was No refunds! so i emailed them and told them that you do not warn customers of this and there is nothing in your terms & Condditions about purchassing another 1! All they did was ask me my name and my the date of purchase, where i lived just to prove i bought it and Wallah!!!!! i had an email with my serial number with an apollogie!
It's worth a shot! I just formatted my computer last night and all i backed up was FSPassengers and not the Key so now i have to check my other disks and if not i have to try this process again!
Good Luck mate and hope that was some kind of help! |

| ...it just keeps getting better and better :( ....after a short break I deleted my Fs9 game thinking a brand new install would be the way to go....it wasn't.When I got to disk 4 an error report poped up at 96%.....checked everything on computer. All fine , no problems.Checked disk 4 and there seems to be a scratch so I cannot even do a fresh install.I thought things were bad when the HDD crashed. Then my modem stopped working.I had to buy another one and got that installed last week...well I think the Gods are telling me...GIVE IT UP    ....any suggestions??? |

Dont give up...
Simple as, times can be hard, and things keep cropping up, but i know i cant give up on FS9. I have got into flying quite a bit now, and I cant put it down. I just love to get in the air. So its not worth giving up ... until FSX that is.
Anyway back on subject, have you tried deleting everything relating to FS9, including the Microsoft Games>FS9 folder? As for the scratch, is it a major one? or just a small thing? Other than that, im not sure but perhaps a system restore to before you uninstalled fs9 might solve things? |

I Had the exact same Problem Mate! And i did not give up on flight simulator! All the ways the FS Crew tell you and what other people say will probally not work! It's a scratch, it's messed up! 50/50 chance it going to work! Capt. El who helps run my site knows this sought of problem as well! when you get to the Retry, Skip or Cancel Screen you can click Retry s many times as you want because it has been known to work with myself and others! The only Proper way to do this is ring microsoft tell them your problem, they will make you a little account thing tellin the tech department your problem, you are then passed through to the tech department which they will step by step tell you the procedures and spell stuff out to you like c for Charlie, which any pilot is used to by now! Anyway, you will be given all these options to try like creating a new username for your pc blah blah! and at the end of it you will have a set of brand new discs for FREE as long as your FS is Valid! if you have any other sought of problems i can find my friends address who works in the tech department and she can help you like she helped me!
Hope it give you an insight of what your expecting!
