|
|
| Well since there is no Flight Simulator X section yet Im just going to post this here. I just downloaded the demo and I thought it was going to be cool but it wasnt. First it was really choppy and I have no idea why and the scenery looked the same as 2004 except for the water. Next when you are on the spot view looking into the cockpit there is no pilot!!! And last but the most frustrating is that there is no cockpit view only a virtual cockpit which when in that view you cant see any of the controls because they are so small. So my point is that is anyone else experiencing these problems with this demo and should I not worry because it is only a demo? If this is what the actual game is going to be like I might not buy it someone shed some light on this for me please!!! :( |

| Look here dudes. You simply will not be able to crank up the X and expect it to run right on your machine. I have P4-3ghz, 1gig RAM, ATI9600xt-128 and in Fs9 I can pretty much turn up the graphics till the mobo screams for mercy, but I had to back off a bit with the X. As to the panel issue. Please, please, please! Will you people take the time to go through the settings menus, both in the startup window as well as in the Alt. menu while running the game. Look, for years we have cried about having to scroll our way through either the 2d or 3d panel to get to the one we wanted when swapping camera views. Now they've fixed that, taken great pains to make FS flexible and you wont even pick it up off the sidewalk and give it a shake. You just stand there and look at it and say, "jeez, it looks an awful lot like the old one...hyuk hyuk hyuk". Now, give us a break and dont report back without doing your homework. Go and look at every feature page, look at it's file and folder structure on your hard-drive. That was the first thing I did. I even added the DSB F-15 to it just for kicks. Works great but any Fs98 gauge will draw a warning. Remember kiddies, this one is all XML. |

Hmm...my first clue that things might not go quite as smooth as I'd like them to, or there might be some level of reduced functionality, or it might be missing some of the "bells and whistles" that I've become accustomed to in FS9 was, "DEMO".
Luckily everything went very good. |

| Actually the game comes out in October and Vista and 10 wont come out until late next spring so youll have to run it for awhile on XP. Well no i understand more and I guess I should wait until to full release comes out but I do think that if there are these problems manily graphicly and it doesnt look nice microsoft should have waited for a better demo or just wait the game comes out in 2 months anyways. |

| I hope so and I hope its not as choppy either. You shouldnt have to turn all of the settings down just to play it smoothly that is dumb, I hope that is different. |

Did you'all hear the lastest rumor. Hillary Clinton is going to officially announce that she is running for president of the United States. She will make this announcement in October. If you are foolish enough to believe this rumor than you are foolish enough to believe the rumor that FSX will be released in October, 2006. How many times do I have to beat it into your thin skulls not to believe anything about FSX until Microsoft tells you so.
1. You can fool some of the people all of the time.
2. You can fool all of the people some of the time.
3. You can not fool all of the people all of the time.
I am beginning to believe that some of you fit into the first category. 8) 8) |

I am going to post the official link for the 50th time. Please save this link in your favorites and stop listening to the gossip at the drinking fountain or the Men/Ladies room.
http://www.fsinsider.com/articles/flight_simulator_x_faq.htm
I just flew Beta Test FSX for about an hour and was impressed with what I experienced. The software is still in Beta Testing and I have no idea when the official release date will be.
PS: Don't ask me any questions because I am not an official spokesman. 8) 8) |
