Hi,
I have a problem when I pushback in FS 2002. What happens is that I press SHIFT + P, It moves bacward, then When I want it to turn, (by pressing 1 or 2) it doesnt turn.
Is there a program that helps me pushback properly? Thanks!
Thanks fot your reply!
Thanks!

| Did you wait for it to turn? I believe the aircraft moves back something like one and a half lengths before it executes the turn from the time you command the turn event. |

So when you have pressed 1 or 2, you have to wait a little while before it turns? ill try that. Thanks! |

| when you push back you use shift + P to start rolling. If you want to turn you have to press shift + p then immediatly after press 1 or 2. however you cant push back, then after a while press 1 or 2, for it wont turn. So what u have to do is pushback in a straight line, then, when you want to turn, stop the pushback then start it again, pressing 1 or two immediately after. |

ice, i dont mean to be judgemental, but you have no clue what you are talking about... that might work for you, but its totally wrong.
when you push back, press SHIFT + P. then hit 1 or 2 for left or right and just WAIT!!! DO NOT STOP IT OR IT WILL HAVE TO BE DONE OVER AGAIN!!!! just wait for it. when the plane gets to where you want it, THEN hit SHIFT + P again to stop.
do not stop pushing back to turn it. just wait for it to turn, if it does not work... try slewing (granted this is not realistic) by pressing " Y " on your keyboard, then pulling back on your joystick, they Y again to exit slew mode so that you can pull forward and turn your aircraft so that you can taxi. |

| Actually, you can pause before instructing the turn. After you hit shift+P, you can wait to hit 1 or 2 and as long as you havent touched any other input to FS it will still work, but there is a delay between the time you press 1 or 2 and the actual turning event begins. |

suddste223,
Go to our downloads page and enter "pushback gauge" into the search box. The addon you're looking for is about 1/2 way down the page. It's a nice tool for just about any aircraft. Some minor cfg editing is necessary for each aircraft you want to incorporate the tool into.

Hello Suddste223, I answered all your questions about pushbacks in the forum entitled, "Lessons - Pushback problems a breeze... If you can wait," a few months earlier. Check it out.
Could one of you moderators please link it to this querry???
Thanks. Rock-Head
EDIT BY RD: Quote by Rock Head select your direction after you press SHIFT+P. However, there is no time limit on selecting the direction one might wish to travel in. After pressing SHIFT+P you have all day to decide in which direction you would like your aircraft to proceed.
Here's the trick. The aircraft will be pushed back the approximate distance from the nose gear to the main gear or rear stablizer before it begins to turn. If you have a long push back before you wish to turn, wait untill the tail end of the plane is at the point you would like the nose to turn and then press 1 or 2. I promise you that it will turn just about where you want it to. All you need to do is wait. Try it. What've you got to lose but a little time? |

Im sorry, I seem to be the one that gets all the problems, but, I cant figure it out, I download it, then do all the file editing, and then the gauge that comes up is blank. I think I did it wrong, but Ill try again.
Thanks for the reply!
Thanks!

If you have absolutely installed everything correctly, edited files correctly you should see a very small "+" in the top left corner of your screen in cockpit mode. Click on the "+" and the gauge will open.
Hope this helps

Depending on the gauge used, some will not work for FS2002 because it has XML coding.
Read the downloads first, and make sure they are compatible with FS2002.

no, this doesnt work, All that comes up when I have installed it, it just comes up with a big black box, about the size of the FS2002 GPS. |
