More specs! What is your graphics card?
You need more RAM (possibly 1 gig dual channel), Windows Vista, and a DX10 capapble graphics adapter for optimal performance with FSX.
IMO, the Dimension 3000 is a terrible gaming machine. |

I agree, my dad has a Dell dimension 3000 and the 3D mark 03 score was 152...for perspective, mines 8,024!
It will be ok providing you get a new G card!

You know you could've simply edited your post instead of making a new one. At least you noticed your mistake, good job.....
Integrated graphics may work OK with FS9. But you might get horrible texture quality. Since FSX demands a more powerful system, integrated graphics will give up to FSX. If you look at the system requirements for FSX, you need a DirectX 9 compatible video card. Integrated graphics in the Dimension 3000 is not DirectX 9 compatible.
Since the Dimension 3000 was built for multi-purpose use, the motherboard does not support any expansion bus but PCI. Video card manufacturers have discontinued the production of video cards for PCI. However, Visiontek has recently devised the ATI X1300 for PCI. That, in my opinion, is the best card you can get for PCI bus. Of course, this version can't match with the X1300 for PCI Xpress.

Hope that helped. |
