|

Hello everyone,
I finally got Flight Simulator X Deluxe version and it runs great! But I have a question. See.. I've already installed it on 2 computers and I was wondering if there was any way to remove the registration.... I'm planning to buy a new PC soon and I will want to install it onto there of course... Now I know you can only have it installed on 2 computers at a time, so how do I remove the registration from one of the old computers so I can use it on the new one?
Any help is GREATLY appreciated! Thnx! |

| How does Microsoft verify how many computers you have FSX installed on? What I would do is uninstall FSX from the old computer first, then install it on the new one. |

| I tried searching for it... but I coulnd't come up with anything good... They said how to uninstall, but they weren't talking about removing the actual registration. |

If you have WINDOWS XP HOME.... follow me on this..... After you un-install FSX from your old computer, ON your old computer go to: Start > Run > regedit {be extremely careful what you delete in here because this is your computers REGISTRY files...if you delete the wrong thing it could mess up your whole computer. Below is the EXACT files that you will need to delete to completely uninstall it.}
If 10.0 is *NOT* in the Flight Simulator Folder, then it has already been uninstalled through the uninstall wizzard.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER
> SOFTWARE
> MICROSOFT
> MICROSOFT GAMES
> FLIGHT SIMULATOR
> 10.0
DELETE THE 10.0 folder from the old computer. this will totally wipe out any registry files on that computer like it never was there in the first place.
hope this helps. |

Ummm, you can't. Mikey already has your sytems info that you sent when you registered it. Whatever your system says to you, stores for you, is one thing. But when you REGISTERED it and used the code given with the DVD's, they are already recorded with Mikey.
So no, you can't do anything about it on your sytem. Deleting any and everything will not work............BUT!!!!!
Try getting ahold of Mikey and tell them of your dilemma. They may send you another registration key that you can use. Since you don't need it tomorrow, start the quips today. You may have what you need by the time you need it.
