WHat does this button actually do? Is it right that it lines your aircraft for the runway and you only have to do the glideslope?

Maxis,
The APPR button is for automated landings on Approach to the runway. It is only to be pressed when the ILS Frequency (NAV1) and the Course of the desired landing runway are SET. Otherwise, it will not work. And it will only work if the aircraft instruments receive the ILS frequency radio (which is usually ~25nm from the set airport), or perform the automated landing only if the Course is captured BEFORE the glideslope. Otherwise, again it will not work.

To sum it all up in a simple sentence, the APPR function on the AP is to perform automated (ILS) landings.

If I download an add-on (A-340) on surclaro, but it has the panel of a Cessna, I can downloqad a new one, but in wich archive do I ahve to put it?

Just like when I downlaod an AC I put it in the archisve "airplane", so where do I have to put a panel?

Every aircraft file will have a folder marked, "panel". It's in the aircraft folder itself, and if you want to replace a panel, just replace that folder. Remember though, always back up before doing anything.

Do you have a panel folder inside the panel folder??? If so, then you need to correct it.

You should never have a folder inside your panel.cfg. If you do, you need to find out what is inside of said folder, and post it up. If they contain gauges, then they should be put in the Main Gauges folder, and not inside your panel.cfg. If it is another panel.cfg, then you need to find out if it is a panel modification or not. If so, then you need to open and move it out of there, delete the original, and put it back.

so look this is the thing:
I have downloaded an MD-11 panel.
If I go to the panel folder and open it, there's another folder in it with says "panel". And if I open that I get like a lot of different files most of them are
".gau"-files. Exept for some other files like the panel.cfg and some pics.

Do you say I have to get everything out of the folder and but it in the main panel folder?

The second Panel folder that has all the gau.'s have to go into the main Gauges folder. These are the gauges that the panel.cfg runs off of. If they are not in the main Gauges folder, then they will not show up or work.

Copy all the .gau files into your FS9/Gauges folder. Note: ONLY copy the .gau files INSIDE the folder, NOT the panel folder.

Leave all the bitmaps and the panel.cfg file inside your: youraircraftfolder/panel

Ok I did what you said I should do and it didn't work on the MD-11 because I had a few gauges but I couldn't look outside cause the screen was black. But it did work on another of wich the panel also didn't work, but now it does.

Copy the panel from the one that did work, delete the MD-11 Panel completely, then paste the other panel in it's place.

This should take care of the problem with the MD-11.

Why not? As long as it's a panel, no matter on what aircraft, it can be transferred to another.
