How much do you know about creating objects in FS2004?
Hark is the guy you want. Just give the thread a while and I'm sure he'll be happy to help. |

I hope nobody minds me reviving this topic...
I know absolutely nothing about creating vehicles in FS. After countless internet searches, i've discovered that it seems, that thee are no Aston martin dB-5's out there.
So 'i'll propose the idea again, if there is anyone who knows about FS models, and is willing to take the time, and show some interest in this project.
Thanks,

Thanks.
I've downloaded the tank, the Honda and the VW van, but the FS non-flight vehicle collection would never be complete without an Aston. |

| Hiya. I'll have a look around for the Aston for ya, and I can hook you up with great links if their are none to be had, so you can build one. Most of the links here http://forums.surclaro.com/ftopic10769.html are active, and very very handy when diving into developing. I'll pop back in over the weekend here and see what I've found, and maybe some general advice for modelling, or pointers to good tutorials to get you going. There's a LOT of information to be had from the links on the page linked above. |

Here's one tutorial on car modelling in 'Anim8or', a freeware modelling program that is great for beginners. The .3ds file that Anim8or' kicks out can be easily imported into gmax, where you'd texture it and animate the wheels and add suspension, etc. Your .mdl file out of gmax can then be placed in the simulator for testing and refining. There are more tutorials on car modelling, I'll post a few in a bit.

EDIT: A quick search turned up no Aston Martins for
FS2004.
Here's another page of links...there's lots out there.
