I looked everywhere and there is not one out there. There was one called west jet VA, but it was a news site for the real west jet. Just started this great VA, put a lot of work in the site, and im looking for new pilots, an assistant CEO, and hub managers for toronto, detroit chicago, etc.
http://www.westjetvirtual.net
Tell me what you guys think, first 20 pilots can start ahead and import verifiable hours from another VA. |

A couple of suggestions:
1. If you're going to use someone's pre-painted aircraft it's best to give them credit for it on the website. Dirk Kiefer's repaint of the POSKY 733 is very nice but I'm sure he would appreciate a mention.
2. Same thing with your pictures, even if it's a small credit in the footer. If you've used any from airliners.net you need to get wrritten permission from the author prior to posting them. I'm not sure where you got the -200 image on your fleet page but I know some of the authors who took nice pics of the -300 on airliners.net. If you ask their permission 9 times out of 10 they say yes.
Lastly you should have a disclaimer on your footer. Something simple like "This airline is a computer generated simulation of the real WestJet." This has become pretty much the standard for anyone portraying a real airline in virtual form and goes a long way to easing any hard feelings between the real airline and yours in case of conflict.
Otherwise Ralph it's a good effort. I like the simple pages myself, make it easy to navigate, easy to read and it'll be a winner every time. |
