Hi,
I am a beginner with the FS X .
When I start a flight, it starts always with a virtual view of the panel, and not with the real panel, as I had with the FS 2004.
I can see the real panel after clicking SHIFT+1.
Than during the flight when I click CTRL+S to see different views I see the real panel and on the same screen the other view. ( 2 views simulanusly......).
What am I doing wrong???
Thanks,
DANTAL |

Hey Dantal. Welcome.
When you press shift+1, you are toggling the main panel on and off. You aren't actually changing the view.
Instead of pressing Shift+1, Right click anywhere on the windscreen of the plane. A menu will appear with all the different views available. You need to go to COCKPIT and then to 2D COCKPIT...
Hope this helps.

In settings you can chose what panel to load the plane with - as default it's set to 3D panel.
And the reason why you see 2 panels are that when you use the SHIFT + 1 combination it opens a NEW window on top of the other window already there.
Use the CTRL + S command to shift between the views. The other command is only for viewing sub-panels (like the overhead panel) and so on. |

You should do a Search on various websites for Key Stokes, Keyboard Templates, Keyboard Commands and Keyboard cheatsheets.
Here is one from AVSIM:
