| i've been having this little problem with my fs2002. maybe someone finds it familiar. i install my microsoft flight simulator 2002, and for about 20 plays it all works fine. but later on it starts going crazy, i mean, the planes take off without my order to, they keep climbing non-stop not respecting the autopilot inputs, they turn, and physics laws start being desobeyed too. what's going on? is it a bug/glitch or anything? is there a temporary file i should be deleting to avoid this problem? or should i be installing the program again and again everytime this starts to happen? thank you all.

when you reinstalled it, did you delete the registry file that goes to that program?? if not, im sorry to ask you to uninstall it again, but that might be where your problem lies.... might need a "clean" reinstall. If you have already tried this, there may be a missing file, or one just did not load properly the way it should have.
I personally, do not have FS2002, but I do have FS2004 (9) AND FSX, and occassionally I have have problems of 3 of the same airplane on 1 flight path.... I have tried using TTools to look for "clone flight plans" but I have no clue of how to use the program successfully, even though I have read it 2 times, printed it out, and then re-read it 5 more times while I am trying to use the program. All that I can do is delete my FLIGHTS folder and then grab my "backup" original copy, but then I loose I dont know how many other AI flights that are okay.

| Try Ttools Companion to "merge" planes, flights and airports. This helps tremendously when you have oodles of AI flight plans.

nope, but i had always the problem, even the first time i installed the program. so it has nothing to do with any reinstall. why would i reinstall the program if it's working fine anyway? my problem, in concrete is, my planes stop doing what i command them to do, but they do other things. they pull up by themselves, don't obey my auto-pilot inputs, and crazy immposible numbers start showing in the gauges, the planes turn the other way, they climb non-stop, they stall out of the blue, etc...
i think it's a matter of some data being accumulated in a temporary file that should be cleaned or deleted, that's why the problem gets worse and worse with the time. that's why it all gets back to normal with a reinstall, but unfortunatelly the problem ends up appearing again. and it's not me, you can clearly see how it all starts going crazy little by little. don't know what to do, any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

| Do you have any sort of maintenance programs running in the background that would be doing things like deleting duplicate files, firewalling certain executables....or worse yet, maybe a virus of some sort? I never had any problems whatsoever with 2k2 so it's a little hard for me to remote troubleshoot this one.

| When airplanes start doing all that wierd stuff my first thought is 'wacky controller'. This isn't a joystick gone wild issue or anything like that is it? Probably way off base...good luck anyway.

| i own no joystick or any kind of controller, and i don't have any viruses. i think the problem could arise cause i always save my game after i land and i taxi to the parking space. i think some kind of temporary data might remain, when i open the simulator again and load my last flight, and that data keeps accumulating and adding up, and making my gauges not display the right info.
