I was thinking of getting some input from the great people of surclaro forums. My question is what payware addons are a must buy? Which addons in your personal opinion will ramp up your fsx flying experiance. Scenery,Aircraft. You name it.

I'm not interested in "other" sites. If you don't have one why reply?

I really love the Carenado Piper PA-28.
Also, I have only heard good things about the Fly Tampa St. Maarten scenery.

I have always had good luck with AlphaSim Downloads. Mine are mostly the aircraft I worked with in the late 1960's and early 1970's.....F8, F3H, F4D, F4h etc. I even have a Stuka and PBY in there. I can always count on getting a flyable aircraft with a full panel. They deliver quality stuff. I note lately many of their aircraft list they are FSX compatible. Hope that helps..... Why not put a few pennies into the functionality of FS? I recommend registering FSUIPC to start with. Then, get yourself Aircraft Container Manager. As far as the candy goes, The "Legendary" series, The AlphaSim birds and last but not least, The Lunar Landing Research Vehicle addon from Things-to-come.

Holy! That makes me want to play Tachyon. Not FS related but still a cool space flying shooter.

Farnborough Airshow Scenery - its really cool and great fun, and alegadly one of the creators had a motor bike accident - this is one of the few things he was able to do after, so its really worth getting!!!

The captain sim 727 has the best panel of any aircraft payware or freeware that I have ever seen. I use it with Erick Cantu's vistaliners 727 because it is more accurate to the true aircraft. This panel looks like a real 727 panel and 95% of every knob, dial, switch, lever, works on all panels. You can go through 10 minutes of checklists before a flight or you can just hit ctrl+E and go.

Another must have is Ground Environment. These are much better ground textures than the default one. I mean MUCH better. I haven't seen any noticable hit in frame rates either since I started using them.

And if you like to design your own scenery or just fix up default airports to make them look better then Abacus EZ Scenery is a must. You can see exactly what the objects will look like as you are placing them in the scenery. There are a slew of free add on object libraries at AVSIM that you can add to EZ scenery including all the RWY 12 object libraries which will work with EZ scenery. If you get ez scenery to fix up default airports you should also get the freeware AFCAD. The two go hand in hand in making default airports look better instead of just plain and blah.

Just purchased the Phantom from Cloud 9, brilliant, and cheap, proberbly only the second purchase I have ever made though, freeware is sometimes much better http://www.fscloud9.com/php/home.php?lang=EN
