I need help with TTools, don't tell me to read the manual or another topic and so-on I have for days now trying to figure it out i'm just not so good with it I suppose.....

My problem is simple for those of you that know the program...I want to keep all the flightplans the same, I just want to overwrite the default FS2002 AI airline planes with my newer textures of real airlines.....What do I do to do this, i'm just replacing the fake airlines with real ones and keeping everyhting else the same.

Thanks for help.

You cannot update aircraft textures with TTools.

no, just replacing for example the flightplan of boeing737_400 Paint1 with my boeing737_400 Paint5 which isn't an AI aircraft, doesn't have flightplans, and doesn't appear at airports. for example...this can't be done?

Not too sure how you would do that, maybe might have to do some alteration of the aircraft.cfg file...........Along with altering the flightplans. Was this an original AI aircraft, or a flyable one ?.

Someone will pick this up who has more knowledge than me, just sit tight and keep your eyes peeled.

yes it was an original AI aircraft...the american pacific, orbit, and landmark airlines 737's that come with fs2002...I want to use my textures instead that go with the same aircraft, my US Air, american, and United ones..

YES, this can be done. Both for FS2002 and FS2004.

This is the only problem with using "YOUR" a/c, compared to the default. Your a/c are probably poly heavy, and textures too. If you have alot of them at certian a/p's, then you might have a small to large hit on FPS.

Now, how to do it....

1. Decompile your traffic.

2. Open your Aircraft.txt

3. You should see this, as an example...in red.
AC#1,200,"Beech King Air 350"
AC#2,315,"Beech King Air 350"
AC#3,477,"Boeing 737-400"
AC#4,477,"Boeing 737-400 Paint1"
AC#5,477,"Boeing 737-400 Paint2"
AC#6,477,"Boeing 737-400 Paint3"
AC#7,477,"Boeing 737-400 Paint4"
AC#8,505,"Boeing 747-400"

Now, go into the a/c folder that you want to put into it's place. Open the aircraft.cfg. You will see this (in blue...ex is a B2 Stealth Bomber)
[fltsim.0]
title=Northrop Grumman Stealth B-2A gmax
sim=b2_Roger2K4
model=
panel=
sound=
texture=gmax
kb_checklists=b2_check
kb_reference=b2_ref
kb_notes=b2_notes
atc_id=B2
ui_manufacturer=Northrop Grumman
ui_type=Stealth B-2A
ui_variation=Stealth B2 Spirit
atc_heavy=0
atc_parking_types=B2 M002
atc_airline=
atc_flight_number=
description=The B-2 Spirit is a multi-role bomber capable of delivering both conventional and nuclear munitions. The B-2's low observability is derived from a combination of reduced infrared, acoustic, electromagnetic, visual and radar signatures. FS2004 pakage by Roger, www.rogernet.it roger@rogernet.it

The only thing you need to do, is copy the "title" of the a/c. Such as this plane Northrop Grumman Stealth B-2A gmax

Now take that title, and copy/paste it INSIDE the quotation marks. You must have the quotation marks there.

If you do that, then your aircraft.txt should then look like this. (green is the new a/c, and red the original.

AC#1,200,"Northrop Grumman Stealth B-2A gmax"
AC#2,315,"Beech King Air 350"
AC#3,477,"Boeing 737-400"
AC#4,477,"Boeing 737-400 Paint1"
AC#5,477,"Boeing 737-400 Paint2"
AC#6,477,"Boeing 737-400 Paint3"
AC#7,477,"Boeing 737-400 Paint4"
AC#8,505,"Boeing 747-400"

Then for all the other a/c you want to change from default, you do the same.

Then recompile, and restart FS9.

Just remember. When changing the default a/c to one of your own, just copy/paste the TITLE of that a/c in it's place.

Find the location of your Ttools folder. Open the Ttools folder and you will see the various .txt file decompilations that were generated by the Ttools application. This is a good time to make a copy of the original working files.

In FS9, I created a new folder, and named it TTools. Everything concerning TTools is in it. Alot easier to find what your looking for and need.

Here is a pic of what is inside my TTools folder.

The aircraft you want to change, is in this/that folder. Not on the left side of the compiler/decompiler box.
