| Oh, I forgot in FS2K payload might not be an option. Our Concord pilot might know something different, but I read in the FS2000 "stategy guide" that the concorde takes off with the rear tank empty. But yes, if you reduce the fuel, you will have less fuel to burn, so fuel planning is critical. |

| You could edit the cfg file for the concorde you have a problem with and reduce the weight. Some entry says "empty weight" or something like that. Simply change the existing number witha lower one. However, don't reduce it drastically as this might creat problems. |

payload means the weight added to the aircraft above it's empty weight. That's cargo and passengers.
Concorde Performance Max cruise speed @51,000ft Mach 2.04 typically is Mach2.02
Range with max payload and reserves at mach 2.02 cruise and climb speed is 6230km (3360nm) Range with max fuel, reserves and 8845kg (19,500lbs) payload is 6580km (3550nm).
Operations empty weight 78700kg 173,000lbs max take-off weight 185,065kg 408000lbs max payload 12,700kg 28,000lbs
Hope this helps |

Oh Ok. I have 3 more Questions that i need answers to.
1. How do you reverse in a concorde? hold down F2 like normal??
2. On my concorde it has a 'radar' feature after the GPS System. What does this do?
3. why is it that u start with the nose @ -5? isn't this like extending the flaps which makes you go slower that is have more drag?? don't you want to have the nose str8 so there is no drag?? |

To answer your questions hopefully correctly first if F2 is used for engine reverse then yes that is the key to use.
If The radar is round with a line that moves around the inside of the circle and there is a number on the right hand side that you can change from 40 down to approximately 5 than this is your traffic avoidence radar
The nose does create drag abit like flaps in a way but it is needed to be lowered so pilots can see the runway. When the outer window covers the inner window (nose up) it makes it harder to see .
I hope these answer your questions happy flying |

He's right Its very hard to taxi with nose up and also the pilots are about( i think!) 20-50ft ahead of the nose wheel so you hard to make turns very late on the taxiway. Alot of elements to overcome on Concorde but flys like a dream! |

Concorde is a dream to fly but needs a large amount of attention as things happen very fast. Managing fuel distribution is crutical to maintaining proper CG. Landing concorde is not easy either with no flpas it's crutial to prepare a head to be at the right landing speed and don't worry if you land a bit hard a smooth landing is a treat.

Concorde does need alot of attention everything needs to be planned ahead like loseing speed beacuase of no airbrake etc. CG does not have any troble to be because it is automticlly done but manually that when you need 2 people lol. If you watch a 5 hour Video on concorde from Heathrow- Kennedy and return you learn alot. |

If it is the traffic avoidence radar it should display little dots on it that iindicate other traffic in a radius of your aircraft. The number is nautical miles you just click on the number it should have a + and - to change the number or buttons on the bottom. It is used to alert pilots of other traffic to help keep a safe distance. If this radar looks like a colourful cloud moving across the screen then it is your weather radar and in simulator does not have any function but to be an extra. |

| Just curious. Did you read the previous posts in this thread and try the various solutions out first? |
