Problem whit the "Only show sessions in my country/region" check option
in the server select screen.
When i check it i get "We cannot detect your country code on GameSpy at this time.".
Is there some thing i have to fill in?

Ronald, I've been looking at your post for a couple of days now, and I still don't understand what you are asking or trying to convey. It bugs me that none here has responded to your post. We would like very much to help you, but for the criminy christmas, we don't know what you're asking of us!
Please spend a few moments, hours looking at other posts here at SurClaro and compose a more understandable query! Please!

I didn't respond to it, simply because I was having trouble laying my hands on my Chineese phase book, even tried looking at it through a mirror, that didnt work either........
Maybe he can come back and translate for us LOL

patience young grasshopper......
Not being "over there", I had to put my mystical magical armpit computer of all knowledge to work(wonder what that'll translate like with babelfish?). You see, Gamespy is a dedicated gaming network that may not be supported by certain hosts. This should not inhibit you being able to join in multiplayer sessions where you already know the relevant IP numbers for connection. You will have to contact the authors or administrators of GameSpy to effect a resolution. |

Ronald's limitations completely unknown, all are welcome here, I figure. That's why I'm still traipsing 'round the fringes. And everyone [here] knows that I certainly have my own special set of limitations! Ha ha!

Yar, avast me maties... Stand broad to the port gunnel and hear the shanties of the salty brine. What say you.
I think his problem is that the GameSpy server is offering Multi-player sessions for a lot of places or countries that are recognized, but not for where ever he is, and that is unfortunately where he is. In some unrecognized place that the GameSpy server does not recognize.
No real way for us to help other than to suggest selecting surrounding countries in the server.
Or possibly relocating to a recognized area, which is a very expensive alternative just to fly a local multi-player flight.
As GS said, gotta contact the folks that control the server to get the location added. |

I am from The Nederlands.
I only wanted to know if i had to set some setting to make it work.
But is there a other way to filter the server lists?
The list is so big that when i start browsing the servers and come back 10 minutes lather, its still browsing.
Or make a favorites list?
Greetings Ronald |

I know what you meant Ronald. I live in the good ol' states, and I, too, get this same message whenever I check the box.
To the others, the selection to which he is referring is the little selection that you pick if you don't want gamespy to find any games foreign to your country, probably for lingual purposes.
Unfortunately, I have no idea how to fix it. |

| surely those boys thought of that, I mean just look at the website...it's a monster! Is there some sort of control panel or options tool for setting preferences? I would think that they would have some method of thinning the herd.. |

Just like here at good ol' SurClaro, can one not begin a new topic and tick mark it for Email notification?
At worst a Mod might kick you in the proverbial jewels and redirect your question to the right forum topic.
I am completely unfamiliar with this site. But if it is that large, there must certainly be other offshoot and smaller websites liberally posted in banner ads, et, al.???

I believe that you can do that.
Down at the bottom of the page is a text link... "Watch this topic for replies".
I'm not sure if it e-mails you of just promotes it up higher on the forum screen. |

Doesn't it put it in the topics I'm subscribed to list in your profile?
