| I have recently downloaded the DC-10 (sr13X.zip) to FSX but the panel I get is from a 737! Where did I go wrong? |

The information you give is meaningless, unless you give directions on where you got your downloads from, site address, and file.name.
How on earth do you expect us to solve the problem with the info you provided.
In short, your immediate problem is a lack of details !

| Because the author of this download did not include a panel, but rather has used the generic default panel. He also did not include any custom sounds, so I am betting a check of the sound.cfg for this bird will reveal it is aliased to default as well. You will have to find a decent panel (this aircraft does NOT have a virtual cockpit) and sounds to make this bird more "real". |

what GS means (in terms that any normal person could understand) the author "linked" the 737 panel to the DC-10, so the DC-10 uses the 737 panel. When i was a noob i though every a/c came with a panel for that a/c. Look on
www.surclaro.com or www.avsim.com for good panels and sounds.
edit by groundsquirrel: ahem....dont you mean surclaro.com? you can find links to some great panel sites hidden within the surclaro forums, as well as many fine panels within our own download library.
edit by me: true. |
