You can get Afcad here under Utilities. That's were I got it, and it works fine and is explained very well. Meanwhile, there may be an updated one. Check Project AI for this. You'll find the link under LINKS in the AI Forum right here arround the corner.

Groundsquirrel does that mean you have to alter the parking spaces at evvvvvvvery airport or is there a quick way to do it?
And to Jery, what happened to the Alitalia textures?

that this is occuring at every airport in your world? a detail like that means an awful lot to somebody trying to remote troubleshoot your situation.
Please provide as many details as possible about the situation, thank you. |

The above info is correct, and yes, if every parking spot was like this you'd have to move each spot individually. If you have a row of parking spots in line with each other you can use the SHIFT+left click (mouse) each spot and drag a set of 2 or more back at a time. Unfortunately there is no automated way to move every spot on a particular AFCAD back, say, 5 or 6 feet from the terminal. Keep an eye on where you're pulling the spots back too so you don't pull them into a taxi way, another parking spot or something else.
DON'T FORGET...MAKE A COPY OF YOUR AFCAD BEFORE YOU MAKE CHANGES. If all works out, delete the copy you made so you don't have problems with duplicate AFCAD files/names. |

Did you upgrade your london Heathrow airport with an add-on? If so, was it the right add-on for the right version of FS? I ask because I found when I put my old 2002 upgrade to KCVG airport on my 2004 version, it was way off. I had planes driving right through the terminals. Turns out, the locations in 2004 changed. So that anything designed scenery wise for 2002, will be out of place in 2004 by several meters if not more.
2002 planes can be put in 2004, but 2002 scenery simply will never be right because of the changes in coordinates made to 2004. 8(
Hope that will help you and / or anyone else that may have the problem.

| some afcads will need specific scenery files, you have to check the details for the particular afcad or ai file, without an addon I am suspecting that you have used an afcad that is scenery dependant. |

You're welcome. Well, how about installing the official AFCADS from ProjectAi first?

I found the AFCAD you were telling me about on Utilities. For some reason, the ones on PAI didn`t include EGLL. I will try it as soon as I can! Probably this evening. |

I'm quite sure, there were two (you can only chose one, thereforee I know it) in the so called general (that is inofficial) Afcad package. But try the AFCAD program. Once you get the hang of it, you will not want to miss this programm, especially if you customize your AI traffic.

They dont have to be
Look in the Painting tips topic in the "Flight sim basics" thread and you can get DXTbmp, a program that rids of Mip Maps, the thing that makes your textures blurry. sorry can't post a link to it at this time... |
