Sweet,

THANK YOU VINCE !!!!

BTW: I'm at HEMM, and they gave us a free kegger, and a bottle of your favorite liquid. I told them Hark was behind me, so they gave me 2 bottles of Gentlemans Jack Daniels. I don't they will survive the wait for you guys. And the weather is awesome. Wink

Just spent a long month stay-over at Faro, brilliant weather, time for departure to commence my second leg.....

Why is it, as soon as I step into the Beech, all hell breaks loose Crying or Very sad early morning start, *beep* with rain, hell of a storm, and lightning all around me, not to mention the ever so slight cross-wind on take-off.

Had a few beers last night with Cat in the pilots lounge, ( maybe that was a bad choice ) man, can that guy drink !

Hoping to make good time, before RD guzzles all the booze.

Here's hoping. Wink

BP's post was deleted and a PM sent explaining why. Now on with the show... Wink

Mel, I told ya that the hotsauce goes in the liquid... Put the hot sauce in the liquid...
I drink like Irishman, but I hold it like an Indian when it comes to the hard stuff, except for the Tequila. I was good with the beer... And I went over to the commercial folks and huffed off their O2 for about 15 minutes.
Any case, you were supposed to wake me BEFORE the weather moved in on top of us... I had the same weather you had about an hour after you took off.
Not all that bad though, it cleared down the Ocean a bit and got quite nice for the rest of the flight.
Having arrived at HEMM, I do have a question though... Is this the only JET A pump around or am I missing something? Should I be looking for a caravan or something?

One other thing to note... Watch your fuel on this one! I landed with less than 400 Lbs left on board. Anxious

Actually the locals pulled out of the welcoming commitee caravan. Said something about us being too thirsty, and them not wanting to give up to many of their daily rations of alchohol. As well as steaks.

When you go to the tower, inside is 3 doors. Mens, Women's, and Other. Go to the Other door. It will go down 2 flights (pun intended). They have a great grill and sauce bar down there.

A girl named Wanda will meet you at the door. Shocked

Here's a pic of her. She will ask you to take off your shoes when you enter it. Not sure why, yet.

The airport is barren for a reason. Something about not wanting to attract attention. I had to pull some strings to get this place on the list.

So yeah Cat, that's the only refuel spot.

Glad your enjoying it.

But really, you should join, and fly my flights. While not the greatest of experiences from the start, that's the way it goes. And as you could, you might be pleasently surprised. Or not. Twisted Evil

The first two flights were easy. Normal in fact for where they were. Sorta.

As the Carpenters' sang it.... " We've only just begun".........LMAO

After a short delay I am continuing my fourth leg of my trip .This is Magadon, UHMM ,to Anadyr, UHMA, on the Eastern side of Russia. Flight plan was for 9000ft altitude initially on a Heading of 068 degrees and 798 Nm, With No ILS at the destination. Atis told me the temperature was 15 degrees ,no wind,Visibility 20 miles Sky clear.Real world weather set .Take off was at 7.10am,from Runway 10.
Departure was from ramp 2 ,and instruments ,and altitude was set before taxi .Take -off was easy on this leg as was the flying conditions ,after some time I started to run into cloud and turbulence so I requested 20000feet which was just above the cloud tops .As I neared Anadyr I reduced altitude down to 6000 but soon afterwards ran into misty/foggy conditions and relied on instructions from ATC for approach .I was instructed that Runway 1 was in use so I set up the GPS [switch on Nav] for visual cue's . Very cold conditions at Anadyr which is not suprising as it is not far from the Northern permanent ice shelf . Boldpilot

Well, finally arrived at Mersa Matruh.... Sheesh..... where the hell did all these flies come from.... Good flight all the way, very few scattered clouds, winds calm, great flying weather, nice views over the Sierra Nevada on the way.

I found the door, went downstaires, and bumped into Wanda, Wow Shocked , also ran into a hairy chinned woman, she had a pig on a lead, (more flies Confused ) She asked me to give you a message RD, she said you left at first light this morning, and you forgot to leave her money you owed. Not sure what that's about, maybe you will understand.

I'm not gonna stay in this godforsaken place any longer, quick check over the Beech, make sure we are good to go, sleep overnight in the cabin, then off outa here first thing in the morning.
