Thanks Clay, Thanks Bruce..... I am currently typing up a plan of action, so you know where we are at........

@Bruce... As regards to the Maddie Flights, I posted a little something that was Cats idea, I just put it in a package, but that was just before he had a Gremlin in his PC, I know he was a little wary about opening emails, but hopefully thats all ok now......... Just waiting to hear from him to see if it worked.

Hello Chaps

Arrived ok in FARO 01:10 after a truly dodgy flight! and just when I thought I had her parked up, Off she goes across the field like a scalded cat, had to take her up again as she wouldn't stop, took all my skill to get her back on the ground in one piece, feathered her engines only way to control the ********

She really is a heap of horse sh**, but then I should be used to that after my 38 years with the RAF. Our Nav refuses to fly in the beast again and our eng already has the F700 out and is ripping the covers off!

I guess we'll have to take that flashy Honda parked next to us, its crew are out of hours and have gone off to the beach club for a long weekend, gonna take a few waves, whatever that means. Only waves I ever took were in an ancient PBY5A not unlike the one parked over the way.
Should be interesting see what tomorrow will bring

Signing off

Have to admit, the Beech does take a little getting use to, but once you have figured out her female habits, you will find her to be a trusty bird, glad your first flight went as well as expected, thats the easy one out the way ...lol

Have fun, and we all look forward to hearing how you get on.

Latest:

29 January 2009 10:39am Add commentsThe official fund set up to help find Madeleine McCann now stands at £600,000 after an initial surge of donations dried up.

Nearly £2 million was raised in the first 10 months after the little girl went missing in May 2007, according to accounts filed to Companies House.

Over this period more than £815,000 from the fund was spent on efforts to trace Madeleine, who was nearly four when she went missing from her family's holiday apartment in the Algarve region of Portugal while her parents dined with friends nearby.

The expenditure included £250,000 for search fees, including the bill for Spanish private detectives Metodo 3, £111,522 for legal costs and £123,573 for campaign management. There was also £37,071 for the McCanns' official website, £81,904 for adverts and a total of £141,747 for administrative expenses.

Madeleine's Fund was launched a fortnight after the child vanished from Praia da Luz, southern Portugal, on May 3 2007.

Donations flooded in from supporters around the world who wanted to do something to help her parents, Kate and Gerry McCann, of Rothley, Leicestershire, who are now both 40.

The fund's income in the period to March 31 last year totalled £1,846,178, including bank interest of £33,424 and £64,078 from sales of T-shirts and wristbands, the accounts showed.

This total includes a £550,000 libel award from Express Newspapers made in March last year, but not several later sums in damages paid to the McCanns and their friends by media groups.

Mr McCann's brother John, who is one of the fund's directors, said contributions had dropped off. He wrote in a foreword to the accounts, dated November 12 last year: "As expected, the level of donations has fallen over time, although we have a number of loyal donors continuing their support.

"Income in the new financial year is currently significantly lower than at the same time last year. However, our expenses are ongoing and likely to increase."

Once things get a bit more settled for me, have it pencilled in on my charitable donations list to make another donation to the Maddie Fund. I'm sorry to hear that donations have begun tapering off. I suppose after this amount of time that is to be expected to some degree or another. But sad to see that happening.

Does anyone know if Maddie's disappearance was ever aired on America's Most Wanted? I don't know if they air stories of international persuasion???

Thanks Hark, the repaint was fairly easy, it was finding the right a/c for the job that proved a little tiresome. GS had input into it also with the lights, so I owe a debt of gratitude to him.

I have added pushback gauges, and along with the 2D & VC cockpits, she is a pretty nice craft, easy to fly, with short take off and landing. Sounds are good too.
