Hiya...I was doing some searching around for info for another member and found this...pretty interesting concepts and applications.

http://fsdeveloper.com/wiki/index.php?title=FSX_KML

'FSX KML is a freeware scenery design tool for Microsoft Flight Simulator X (FSX).

It converts KML (Keyhole Markup Language) files generated by Google Earth into FSX scenery.

Using Google Earth to draw polygons and polylines you can accurately and easily many types of scenery.'

THANK YOU HARK Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Since I am done painting for others, I now have something new to pick up, and go all gang-busters on.

I spent about an hour reading everything, and, looked at some of the sceneries already done and available for download.

I will give this a good attempt, to do. But don't hold your breath, this may take awhile to master. And I will try my best to do that.

Thanks man, that is really cool.

My pleasure RD, glad you picked up on it...and have some time to play. Very Happy

EDIT: Maybe by the time you start getting sceneries together I'll have time to do some scenery modeling. Might be nice to get away from aircraft and into buildings, structures, airports, etc....let me know down the road if I can enhance your work anywhere with the physical stuff.

You will be the first and only I will contact for help or modification.

But like I said, this may take a while to get even proficient in, so any sceneries, may be up to 6 months down the road.
