Hello all
Does anyone know anything about the PC Flight Force Fore COntrol System by Interact?
A friend of mine gave me this throttle device and I have no clue how to hook it up and will I need drivers? (most likely)
If someone out there could send me a copy of the instructions and maybe the drivers I wuld appreciate it. If not, at least clue me in on where I could obtain this info and drivers.
I tried the company website, but no luck
Thanks in advance.

and welcome to the club. You are now in a place where everybody is looking for something for somebody all the time everywhere. Have you tried just typing the name of the controller into your search bar? Google does good searches, I use Dogpile as it will also search Google. It's often amazed me where I find some of the things I am looking for, and more often than not I will find out info. in a forum thread pointed out by my search engine. One thing is for sure, hope you like homework.........lol.
Welcome to Surclaro.com, and happy flying from the gang. If you are unsuccessful in your efforts, post back to us and we will see what can be done. |

Tried all that before I even tried this forum. The only drivers I found for this particular device couldn't be used because the .zip file was corrupted.
As far as hooking it up, I've never used a throttle before and so I have no clue how this one hooks up.
Is Interact still in business, because they don't seem to exist according to their "website" address.
Thanks.

Serial. I don't know if it's a standalone or not, I can't find any info on it.
I'm hoping someone will know something about it.

| have you tried just pluging it in and seeing if windows can recognize it with standard drivers through plug and play? Awhile back, I had some trouble finding support for an old joystick til I discovered that it was able to be handled by the driver set supplied with windows. It is possible that if it is old enough the drivers may not be supplied with XP, but may exist in 98se. We're still with you on this quest. |

This is what I'm saying, I don't even know how to hook it up. Somehow it has to hook in with my joystick and rudder pedals, plus it's programmable through the keyboard and so is my joystick...ahhhhh!
It's driving me nuts!!!

you said it has a serial port connector. Do you not have another serial port available on the back of your machine? I know that there are devices called "game cards" that have two or more game ports (serial ports) out there. Havent seen any in awhile because most everything is usb or firewire. Ergo, most modern PCs have only one serial port when shipped.
As far as drivers go, there are several websites out there but most have since gone over to subscription service. Some offer short term subscriptions for reduced rates for the one time user. A little more info about your tower configuration and what ports or cards are in it would be helpful also. |

My system consists of:
Compaq Deskpro PIII 500 mhz
CH pedals with a Suncom F-15E Talon programmable joystick
I want to add the throttle controller, but have no clue how I would add it to the mix.
I'm using the joy port that's built into my sound card. Any ideas?

| if you have a spare ps/2 port, get an adapter for serial to ps/2, or you will have to add a game card(addon card which provides up to four serial data ports, they also have two and three port cards). Adding the game card will require opening up your PC, so if you do not have the experience, I recommend somebody knowledgeable with the inner workings of PCs to do it. I am not certain if there is a serial to usb adapter and if there is, not certain if your system handles that kind of peripheral connection type. |
