Dear Cat1,
Perhaps I am, but, even if you did say something rediculous about me putting dear in the begining of my posts, I believe it would make you look rather silly, don't you?
I may be wrong, but Dear is indeed a good way to start a post. (and the most polite)
Cheers! (and please don't over-do-it RD)

Hey Harkonnen, I thought the USMC was supposed to be tougher than that.
Cheers!

P.S. RD, please don't tell me you were a drill sargeant. And please don't yell at me sir. |

We are called Drill Instructors. The only thing a drill sargeant is good for is fire drills at your school. And they *beep* that up.
And don't you ever call me sir, I work for a freakin' living. I keep the economy afloat, our borders safe, squids in line on their own boat, while your sitting at your desk at home, thinking what on earth am I doing here.
And yes, this is from my meek, mild mannered side.

Dear RD,
By what title shall I address you if you are not sir?
Also, are you calling the Navy squids?
If you are, I'll have to tell Cat1 to come give you a talking to.
My Grandfather was a Second Class Petty Officer in the United States Navy, therefore, I don't like you calling them squids if that is who you mean.
Cheers!

We are squids! I know that to be true and always have. There is nothing wrong with it at all.

Hey Cat1, I'm homeschooled, the only girls in my school are my sisters!
I don't appreciate being called a liar.
Why do they call the Navy men Squids?
Cheers!

Well, now I understand a bit more. My most humble apologies!
That might have been good information to have about oh... 15 minutes ago.
I will certainly take a different tone with you from now on. And I am sorry for the implication, I meant no harm.
And now I understand why you are so polite.

YUCK.....EEEEEEWWW............BARF.....
Sorry about that SU37. I know I wouldn't want to know what my sister is wearing, or not wearing either. Much less dream about it.
My deepest apologies for the comment. I have taken it out of my previous post, and edited the other.
Actually, I am a bit surprised you didn't rip me a new one for making that comment. You would have been in the right to do so. Next time, if you feel that I or anybody else has it wrong, or just plain got it stupid, then by all means, let the person(s) know.
RD
EDIT: Sorry, but I cannot change the quote. But I did change mine. If it really matters. Hey Cat, can you edit your post with my quote in it..Please. |
