Is it my PC, or does FSX not have raindrop effects hit your windshield?
I sure hope I can get it fixed.
Thank you all in advance,

SU37Berkut:
You have a good point here. I usually fly in Fair Weather and rarely fly in the rain. However, I just spent a few minutes experimenting with rainy weather and was unable to see any rain drops running down the windshield. I experimented with light rain and heavy rain and could not get the drops to run down the windshield. Therefore, I guess that this is not a problem unique to you.
I am sure that I was able to see raindrops running down my windshield in the past. Perhaps, I was using some kind of "weather add-on" in the past which created this effect. Perhaps someone else will respond to this question and suggest and add-on which will solve our problem.
Thanks for your personal messages. I appreciate your comments. |

MS dropped the rain-drop effect in FSX due to the new graphic engine.
The effect is there from default in FS2004. |

You can't just paste your fs9 rain effect in the fsx folder and make it work.
By the way, I feld over this:
| Quote: | The ONLY reason why FSX doesn't currently have this feature is because the entire texture rendering system from FS9 was gutted, and replaced with the new, shader based rendering system. This was a necessary step to allow FSX to be further developed to take full advantage of DX10 shaders.
The only question now is not whether the feature will return but when will the feature return...
Since the XML driver code for "ambient rain effects" remains in the core program, it is clear that ACES simply didn't have time to get "texture-chain animations" working in time for FSX release, and that it simply wasn't on their "fix list" for the SP1 update.

Thank you Skipperdan and Behrentzs,
Is there a way to modify the raindrop effect in FS9 for FSX?
Also, is it on Disc 4? (I don't have No. IV anymore.)
Cheers!
