Dear Forum Members,

I would like an Extra 300S paint scheme of my own design for FSX.
I would like it done on the default Extra 300S, so I don't think you can get that anywhere online. The designers were Aces Studios, I can't find a repaint kit for it though.

Cheers,
SU37Berkut

There are no paint kits for FSX default a/c. There is for FS9. But, I don't think the bitmaps are the same. I will check it out later when I get home from work.

Also, why don't you try and find a better model for the E300 that can be painted. Even if it is from FS9.

Because I took alot of time to make the FSX Extra 300S more realistic.
Are you saying it is impossible to do a repaint for the default extra in FSX?

Cheers!

No, of course it is possible to repaint the default aircraft. They just have some rather unique details that require a bit more attention than "aftermarket" models. I know from having repainted the Fs9 Extra.

GS is dead on. Painting Default is a pain in the rear.

As for what you want to do for a repaint, and still keep your modified flight characteristics, is easy to do. Even with someone elses better modeled E300, you can still put your modifications to it. If you need help with that, I will help you. But first things first.

So then, your assignment is....

To find a good looking, well modelled E300S. Doesn't matter if it is FSX or FS9. Once you find it, see if it comes with a paint kit, or not. If not, see if one is available for it. Some are available, even though they are not the model author.

After you do that, we can go from there.

Okay. I don't know if I'll find one as detailed though. Can anyone tell me how to do it myself?

Cheers and thank you all,

If you can be patient (due to my babysitting duties), I know I can do it, even without a paint kit. To see what I did with the Fs9 Extra, just search "twisters" in the Surclaro downloads library.
