So thats what happened. You actually had me thinking I wrote it. I knew I was tried, but I thought I was better than that. Thanks RD.
We'll keelhaul him under the boat later... RD bring your water wings... And a snorkel.
I was and still am an AE, I was an Aviation Electrician, I traded that knowledge for further education and have another AE, as in Aerospace Engineer.
I know your pain, and I salute the missing crew of your avatar.
It's never easy to loose a crew and an aircraft.
I have done the Fallon shuffle more than once, in a Nevada winter, I have REFTRA'ed my ass off, we swapped the from the Connie to the Indy at sea on a crossdeck. During the three years I was on active duty I was deployed more than I was at home port.
I worked VAQ-139's EA-6B's, the life of a Tron was not a good one compared to mine, humping pods was a brutal aspect of the job at times. Much work with an aging system and on an antiquated platform even in my time. But it still works, and is still the fleet EW preferred, go figure.
After the AD, I was with VR-61 as a reservist and into the world of commercial aircraft with the C-9's. I was in a flight status billet and after a horrendously bad nasty storm I turned in my AC wings. Skipper didn't like that and I was IRR before the end of the weekend.
Kinda hard to figure out where you are, but the kibitz is taken. If you really need the birds wired up, the company I work for may just be able to help. But as you know these conversations must go through channels.
So, if you are really serious, PM me and we can go from there.
