Romes' Navy wasn't built in a day!
I agree with Jaeg... slow down and do a bit of research. Most VA's fail within six months to a year if not properly designed and implemented.
And trust me, starting a VA is not easy if it is to succeed. I tried and failed before I even launched it. I'm not trying to put you off the idea, I'm just saying to do the research first.
I would suggest that instead of being a owner/operator that you hit FSHost and find some of the multi-player servers that host FSX Navy operations and fly with them.
As far at the paint job, if it can be called that, could be better. I have no painting skills whatsoever, but that is like painting "for rent" on the wings. I could be missing something though.

Okay Cat1, I'm slowing down. (tell RD to put his grenade launcher away)
RD was right onto me when I posted my ad. I think he replied within 15 minutes of my posting my first post about it.
I am currently researching how the military works a bit more in-depth.
I am really trying to make a Virtual US Navy, but without calling it that.
(I don't want this to be a repeat of the Russian Knights scenario.)
As for the paint job, I like the chrome job on it, and I do agree that it is like putting For Rent on the wingtips. I'll need to change that.
Can you think of any US Navy variations I could do?
I am currently using a model of the F/A-18 Super Hornet in RAAF colors.
It is found on Surclaro in FSX Military.
I modified the Aircraft.cfg to make it more realistic.
Any ideas are welcome.
Cheers!

I don't think that VAHangar can set you up with a website *beep*'. To the best of my knowledge they will offer you a single page advertisement for your VA once it's been established.
Sorry if you thought otherwise.
What I meant to convey to you is that this is a great resource for finding out how to set up your VA. Almost certainly, they will be able to steer you into a free website deal. Join their forums and start posting away for help in your effort! Entirely my fault for not being more clear in my previous post. My sincere apologies!

VAHangar does provide web hosting, too. You just need your own pages.

Nice picture Mel,
Don't you remember when I tried to start a Russian Knights VA?
It turned out really bad.
Hey Hime927, what do you mean you have to have your own pages?
Cheers!

| You have to make your own. They just provide the hosting. The hosting is very good for small virtual airlines, I haven't had any problems with them.

Sure njbb1995,
Remember though, you will have to be able to pass a check ride in FSX.
You must also consistantly get at least 1 in every 5 approaches to USS NIMITZ. We will fly IFR too. If this is too much for you, please let me know so I can open up the slot again.
Cheers!

Ummm......... NO!!!!!!!!
SU37... You may not like my next comments, but here they are....
As for your "I tried to start a Russian Knights VA", it flopped because you didn't know what you were doing. And this, sorry to say, will end up being in the same sinking boat.
It is not something you just JUMP into. You need to know what your going to do, how to do it, and what you need to do it. And it is painstakingly obvious that you don't have a clue on any of this.
Did you even READ the VAHANGER sites information??? If so, then you would know they do not host anything or anybody.
You may think I am busting your balls, but I am not. You need to realize, that there is more to something than just throwing it up, and it will run as you dreamed. You need to do some serious homework, fact finding, and soul searching. VA's are not born on a whim.

Thank you RD,
That certainly is a lot to think about. I am really gonna slow this down now, research it, *beep* carrier airwing, and do it right.
The Russian Knights flopped for more than that reason, I didn't know you had to ask for permission before you did something like that. By the way, do repainters have to ask for permission before they do a paint job of something like that?
Yup, I really don't have a clue about it, I really thought it was just something like getting on multiplayer with the folks that signed up, but I guess it isn't.
I've been starting with my homework, I don't want this one to sink with all hands on deck you know.
Cheers!

Ok, I have to ask... Why is it the worlds worst? What is your rate? You look to be part of a VAW squadron, which one?

Its the worlds Finest Navy. Always. Just in the mood for a joke. I've been shocked one to many times lately. As for my rate, I'm an AT.
To explain my joke, try working at the VAW/VRC rag squadron (VAW-120), transfer to Sea duty and do an 8 month cruise in the gulf, go home for 5 months, go back out to sea for 3 months to move the Reagan from Norfolk to North Island, go home for 2 months, start workups (3 months of straight time at sea and that normal 2 months at lovely NAS FAllon) and then a 6 month cruise back to the Gulf for Operation Sea Donkey (or Sea Dragon, darn political correctness) then transfer back to the VAW/VRC rag for shore duty again because they screwed up your CAKE orders to VRC-40 Home guard. Despite living a pretend hard life, (to those not in the Navy, I list all this beacuse I really do love it, I'm a lifer) I still LOVE the Navy. Everybody Loves a Hummer...Except for 644 and its stupid inflight-refueling probe.
And to Cat, if I recall another post somewhere, your an AE or you were. I can't remember, but anytime you feel froggy and wanna do some work, I have 11 Hawkeyes and 4 CODs that are always begging for attention and some not so talented AEs living next door to my shop.
