So, here's where the old meets the new. Here's Hong Kong's infamous Kai Tak, with N60659, a 777-200LR departing out for Tokyo Narita on a foggy and smoggy early morning.

I've reduced them from their original size of 1680x1050 to 1024x768 for the viewing pleasure of the people who use lower resolutions.

Oh nuts, I need to reinstall this scenery again.

Nice pic Mel, but the heat shimmer is... a little over done. It's in the right place, but looks a little blotchy, instead of smooth.

Thanks RD, Marks rendition prompted my reinstall of Kai Tak also.

Ageed, the heat effect was from Marks TUT with Photoshop, but the ocean ripple was a little course..... Laughing

Yeah, I haven't done the jetwash in a really long time. Now that I look back, it doesn't seem very realistic; I agree with RD that it looks blotchy. I guess you could try using motion blur depending on which way the jetwash is traveling to make it more 'streamlined' instead of blotchy.
