Ok now I really have a problem. I have asked this before but I don’t think I was a detailed:
So I have downloaded a Terrain mesh from simviation.com that covers the area that I have built my airport. Unfortunately I got this scenery mod AFTER I started making the airport and I am too far into the project to start over. The solutions previously given either don’t allow me to make the file distributable or is a pay ware program (I am not paying for anything). One thing that I did find was Airport Design Editor (ADE) but unfortunately it only works for FSX. Is there a version (the one I found was 1.20) that I don’t know about that will work for FS9 (I plan on getting FSX soon)
I don’t need a program to do it for me, but is there code that I would be able to put into my Pre-BGL’s? This would kill.
Thanks for the help! |

None of the suggested programs are payware.
Maybe you need to ask one of the resident "experts" as they're called but you seem to be confusing the situation here, at least in my non-"expert" mind.
You say you asked this question before but not in detail. What question? The last update you gave had you creating your scenery objects and having a slight problem with a hill and cliff at opposite ends of the runway. Now you say you've D/L a new terrain mesh and you've gone to far to turn back, but you don't mention what the new problem is. Is it still the hill and cliff or do you have a new problem since you decided to change the entire terrain mesh after you created your scenery?
I'd say the first step you need to take is backwards.
Plan what you want the result to be and then plan backwards to your starting point. If you make any changes in your forward progress, be prepared for that change to affect anything that is dependent on the element being changed.
There are detailed steps that need to be followed in order to accomplish what you are trying to do. If you choose to not follow those steps and things go wrong; you're on your own.
Creating and placing your scenery objects and then changing the terrain mesh is like putting the cart before the horse. |
