Hey,

I've been trying to learn the basics of aircraft modelling. I've installed the FSX SDK and tried to run the Gmax from which was in there. I've been following this basic tutorial I found.

I've had trouble trying to run Gmax because it keeps saying it can't find the plugin called 3DSMAX, it then closes down..

Any ideas people?

Thanks<3

Time to do some homework. I found this thread on a simple search, start reading and take the time to contact Arno as he is one of the FS developer gods in this world.

This may not help much...
3DS Max isn't a "plug in", it is a stand alone program offered for sale by Autodesk via retailers. And like most things from Autodesk, it won't be cheap.

3DS is an old acronym for 3-D Studio which was the top of the line animation tool I had only briefly used many years ago in my career, and never got into it.

I will give a link off to the Autodesk site and you can find more information there.

Yep, I was right it isn't cheap.
