I seem to have lost the ability to communicate with the ATC in FSX. When I look at the voice choice in the set up there are none there. This seems to have happened since I downloaded SP1 and 2. Someone suggested I try downloadin FDC live cockpit but this has no effect on ATC communications.

Without the ATC it removes the realism of FSX.

Have you checked the Microsoft knowledgebase for FSX to see whether there may have been an issue with the way you installed updates? I have not installed sp2 because I have Acceleration installed and it would be a no no.
