I like to fly with the menu bar across the top of the page. I can't get it to open when I use FSX. The only thing I can get is the aircraft information - with the "hide menu bar" checked but not highlighted - so I can't uncheck it.

I also put FS 2004 on my new vista machine - it works but I can't get the menu bar to open or stay put when flying. I can get it to come up but the reat of the screen goes blank.

Any ideas or suggestions?

are you talking about the AIRCRAFT , WEATHER , VIEWS , OPTIONS , (MODULES - "FSPASSENGERS" / "FSNAV") menu bar??? if so just hit the ALT key in FS9 OR X.

In FSX, it will stay there while you fly, .. but in FS9 it will "freeze" your flight to allow you to make whatever changes you want..

** OR ** are you talking about flying in "windowed mode" so that you can see the START button at the bottom left of the screen, and clock to the bottom right and have MICROSOFT FLIGHT SIMULATOR ? at the top with the red X bottom at the top right... if so, someone else will have to help you on that front, as i do not know how to keep it in Windowed Mode.
