New sound files and repaints!

This project is using REAL Bell 206B Jetranger sounds done by SU37Berkut and some repaints by FokkerDr1R and SU37Berkut.

Anyone on my Buddy list can become a Beta tester.

So far, I've done the sound re-configuration, we have not yet started the repaints.

(I'm thinking maybe this one will be payware quality. Wink

So it may be a good idea to join the beta team. Very Happy

)

Any comments or suggestions to the project will be welcome.

Some ideas we have for repaints include:

State police (fokker)
Black (fokker)
Pearlized Silver with Pearlized gold stripes (SU)
Black with gold stipes (SU)
News (fictional) (fokker)
US Army (fokker)
All American (SU)

If you have any ideas for paint schemes not mentioned, feel free to suggest them before we kick this thing out the door. Very Happy

Here are some teasers for you RD. Very Happy

I thought the top one would give a good picture of how reflective the Marines logo is.
The second one shows the goldish tan off very well.

Not bad.

But make sure you have permission to redistribute it as well as make modifications to it from the original author.
As well, give credit to those that have something to do with what your working with. Gauges, sound, etc.

Yeah, it's the origional from FSX repainted by me and Fokker, that is alright right?

You will not be able to redistribute the model, you may create a "repaint" or texture addon specifying that it is for the default model. RD is correct with regards to any copyrighted symbols, icons, etc.

OK, so how do I send the sounds I made along?
Do I just put that in the zip folder when I go to upload it?

Seems to me that you'd do fine by packaging up the new textures and sounds and calling the download just what it is, 'New sound pack and textures for XXXXXXXX.' Looks like you're having fun, keep up the good work. Wink

This isn't looking too good, I can only get my USMC repaint to load on ALL of the Bell 206B helis.

I'm currently trying to figure out what is going on, I'll get back later hopefully with a fix.

go into your FSX Aircraft .cfg, and add in following ::::

ui_variation=Marine1 (or whatever texture # or name you have it as)-- this will show up in the SELECT CRAFT LIST

ui_createdby= YOUR NAME HERE
description= WHAT EVER YOU WANT IT TO SAY

By adding this section to your Aircraft / Bell helicopter config file, ..... as long as you have the UI_VARIATION (texture file) in the BELL206B folder, then it will show up as another Bell 206.... and NOT be on "ALL" of your Bell 206 B

Thanks Propwash, I'll try that out tommorow. Gotta go to bed now. Had to stay up waiting for the Gas company to come make sure wedidn't have a gas leaske tonight.
