Hi there
Im having trouble keeping FSX running. Everytime i start communication with ATC the application crashes. If i just go around free flying, not a problem, but that gets a little boring after a while.
If i start a IFR, even while sitting at the gates still, the application crashes while talking to ATC.
Anyone else seen this ??

I've not seen this and am looking for a possible solution.
Has this been a problem since the first time you tried using FSX ATC?
If it's just started recently, have you installed any add-ons just prior to the crashing (including Acceleration, SP1, SP2)?
What are your system specs? |

I am having a similar difficulty in that after a while flying in free flight I lose the ATC window and similarly the menu and drop downs just appear as shaded areas completely unreadable. Eventually the system crashes out.
I have the acceleration pack installed but that was immediately it came out and had no probs in the early days. |

Do you have SP2 installed with Accelleration???

Hi RD
Sorry to be so thick but I assumed that this was automatically included with the Acceleration pack. I know that you have mentioned elsewhere of problems installing AP if you have previously installed SP2 and some people have had to start their FSX installations again from scratch because of problems.
How can I tell if SP2 is loaded. If I haven't specifically installed it (cant recall) I presume this is available as a download?
What happened to the well endowed chipmunk?

other than the Acceleration Pack, have either of you updated / installed new VOICEPACKS ?? if so, it may be in the new voice pack that is messing up your sims (at least with the atc). As fas as the dropdown menus im not too sure of cause i can not run FSX SP2 on my computer cause it will say that my Video Card is not supported (cause i dont have a "card" i have an integrated video chipset on my motherboard).
