| I was thinking of buying Flight Simulator X: Acceleration and I would like to know if the system requirements are different then that of the original FSX. |

| Actually, the Acceleration expansion package straightened out a few bugs for some of us middle of the road machines. While I cant speak for others, let me tell you about my outfit. I run a Pentium 4/3ghz processor on an Intel D865GLC 800mhz fsb motherboard with 1gig of dual channel RAM in place. My sound is "onboard" as I use mainly headphones. For graphics I use an older ATI 9600xtPRO128 agp card. I regularly hold around 20 frames and often more with moderate settings. Of course, if I try to turn up the AI things begin to crawl so I dont worry with too much traffic. Overall, I have a nice experience with it considering the performance level of my "old time rock and roller". |

I have been using the acceleration pack ever since it came out and I like the extra aircraft and the new missions particularly the carrier landing tutorial with the F18, as well as the heli missions.
I think my hardware is fairly modest and likewise get fair frame rates except when I wind up the AI traffic so I agreee with Groundsquirrel, don't spend any more dinero unless you have to. Plenty of RAM seemed to be the solution for me.
Hey Groundsquirrel is that a new photo of you- those swinging 'bollitos' would surely scare off the lady squirrels, although you might get lucky!!!
Cheers
