Hi Guys
After flying A320's for ages, i descided to try 777's,A330/340's...i did a practice to hong kong with a 777(ILS Landing). At 100ft above ground i set the altimetre to 500ft with a vertical speed of 100ft per minute...and i idled the trottles. at 20ft i disconnected the A/P and landed...on touchdown i brought the nose down...activated speed brakes...and reverse thrusts.
is this an ok landing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s06Yo-an56o
leave a comment either on youtube or here.
thanks for the help

looks like it was a great landing (the landing itself). as for the generals of the video itself, its only constructive criticism, but the video was blurry, and was a little too close to the plane.... also, you were only looking at the left side of the plane, and no one can see how you were lined up on the runway or any of the scenery in front of the plane. Would be a lot better, if you set the camera behind and a little above the plane in spot view just before landing; and cleaned up the overall picture quality. Other than that, if you were a real pilot i would not mind have being on your flight if you could put it down that gently in real life. |

Well done on the landing. Actually one of the better landings I've seen in awhile.

| The landing itself I'll agree looked great. Your way of doing it might be questionable, but the landing was great. Get yourself a video recorder next time. |

| Just don't scratch the plane and you're fine. I didn't know you were on the ground until I saw the tire smoke, I'd give you a 100% on that one. |
