Hello,

I was wondering if there was a way to make the PMDG 737NG work with FSX?

Thanks,
Sean

Yes, you can.

Create a second FS9 folder of it, and leave out the panel. Then move it into FSX. Then use a comparible panel from FSX.

FSX is a bit touchy on gauges. So unless the PMDG is 100% XML based for the panel and gauges, don't use it.

That's true. But you can't make it function 100% in FSX, though you can make it fly. That's what I meant.

Thanks guys, I was able to get everything working except for the panel like you all said. I was hoping the gauges would work too but I guess we'll just have to wait until the new edition comes out. lol Thanks again.

Hi Sean
Just in case you haven't checked it appears that this payware will soon be available.
"For the Next Generation Flight Sim Platform, PMDG is proud to announce the Next Generation 737 Simulation - the PMDG NGX - 737NG V2.
Capitalizing on its over 8 years of experience in close development with the MSFS Development Team, PMDG is bound to present an unseen level of realism with this new exciting airliner for MS FSX. Making full use of new FSX technology, the NGX will ensure that simmers can enjoy their new Flight Sim with a complete airliner simulation.
Not just an update - The PMDG NGX - 737NG V2 is not an update for the previously released PMDG 737 The Next Generation for FS2004/2002 but a completely new development. In addition to new FSX capabilities, the product will also utilize technology already seen in the award-winning PMDG 747-400 Queen of the Skies product, such as panel state saving/loading, complete IRS simulation, pushback system, etc."

Having downloaded the tutorial on the FMComputer it certainly looks an interesting add on to create a more realistic flight than just the usual free flight.
