YOU KNOW WHAT!
We should make a full picture index of the Generic FS9 library objects.
This has to be a collective effort because there 2193 entries.
If a person does 30 we will still need 73.1.
This is going to be hard but i think its a good idea. This way we would take the guess work out of making scenery and provide help for beginers. I think we should make an organized effort.
Contact me if you have any ideas! |

| Actually, the filenames and .gif's wouldnt take up too much space. My questions surround the amount of time it's going to take to set up the list and snap a pic of the object, edit it down, save in .gif format then compile into a useable stack of s**t. what does the freeware object placers do that use default objects? |

I think your intentions are admirable, but the reality of putting that together boggles my mind.
I'm looking at the LibraryObjects.xls file and can picture more trouble than it's worth trying to figure out which gen_bridge is which and which string of numbers (65364a8b45ddbec46044c9a517db24bb or 2db0350a43628cacaf19cd896240f1e2) goes with what bridge. 2191 more to go!
...anyone seen ag_iceberg_1 65364a8b45ddbec46044c9a517db24bb ? |

| If we're talking about the same thing, I believe I've seen library object 'Viewers' as small apps that will feature a pic of the object, etc. Let me have a look around. |

hmmm ive seen a small one (only 198 entries) its here at http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/syb.cgi?section=misc&file=vio.zip and its about 8.5mb large. But I dont think this is a very useful download because it just doesn't show all the possible buildings a designer can use.
But if there are some already out there Ill be glad to know! |

Have you scoured the utilities pages at the Scenery Hall Of Fame (SHOF)?
They have it all. |

| Good to hear...sorry for being a smartass....you had just mispelled the utility you were after on Google. (If Google doesn't give you what you're after you have to force it to submit by figuring out why!) Have fun. |

got that but some times some of there. eg i put this:
<SceneryObject lat="N39 53.7715" lon="W103 46.2539" alt="0" pitch="0" bank="0" heading="90" altitudeIsAgl="TRUE" imageComplexity="NORMAL">
<LibraryObject name="cb67a4e5413d805eaed7979c15eb3052" scale="1.0"/>
</SceneryObject>
into my KARD scenery and there was nothing. according to the sheet there should be MIA_Cargo_O. but theres nothing there.
Mabey this is a problem with my Fs so if you can test it. |
