I have a serious problem. It seems as if a lot of my aircrafts do not want to load up the textures. An example is my Wilco PIC 737 in FSX.. the textures don't seem to load! Shocked

They seem to show up in the thumbnail but not in the previewing of them. What could be the problem?? This is true for a lot of my new aircrafts.. but some of them don't have the problem.. What is going on??

Nothing is wrong with the textures folder nor the aircraft.cfg because these are all PAYWARE aircrafts (Wilco 737/A320/A330/A340 and Uiver DC-2)! I just installed them after a complete re-installation of FSX I did yesterday Shocked Neutral

Can anyone please tell me what is going on and how to fix this tragedy??
None of the default aircraft have this problem. I installed FSX SP1 and SP2 prior to installing ANY of my addons.

You are having a machine level issue. This had happened to me in Fs9 a couple of years back. I went insane messing with my FS installation till I discovered I was having a graphics rendering issue. Make sure you dont have any dust buildup, also give the machine a really good cool down including unplugging it completely from the power source to allow for degauss . Ultimately my processor died and I guess that may have been some kind of early warning that an impending failure was due.

But I still don't understand.. how come those aircrafts don't load.. but other aircrafts do?? Is it SP2? Because I had the same problem long before overclocking my computer a while back.. after I installed Acceleration Pack. Is this due to DX10? Because It is not possible a dying CPU or Graphics card.. My 8800 Ultra is new! Well.. 8 months old. I'd be seriously *beep* if it were true to be dying.

When I installed Acceleration Pack and screwed my FSX over.. all my Addon aircrafts seemed to not-load its textures. (That's why I uninstalled FSX and left it alone for a while).

I disabled DX10 and it loaded the textures. Something is wrong with DX10 support in the aircrafts.

Yes, I have SP2 installed. I disabled DX10 and it loaded the textures. Something is wrong with DX10 support in the aircrafts. Does anyone else have this problem with DX10 and addon aircrafts (like Wilco or anything else) not loading textures?

Ok, than as GS has already suggested, you should be looking towards your g-card, a good clean and dust out for a start, have you updated the drivers recently ?

Updated to version 169.25 and I can assure you, there is nothing wrong with my graphics card. All my other games work perfectly, and I have no problems whatsoever with my graphics card.

I'm confused. First you say you have acceleration pack, and then you don't, but you have SP2. :roll"

If you have both installed, then this will happen. So make sure you have one of the other, and not both.

Ooh, sorry to make myself confusing.. I used to have Acceleration Pack, before I re-installed FSX (because all my aircrafts seemed to have no textures). Now I don't have Acceleration Pack, only SP2.

If I disable DX10 in the options, all the aircraft now have textures, but when I enable DX10, 60% of my aircrafts don't have textures! Yes, even those payware ones like Wilco and Uiver (PMDG haven't tested yet, not yet installed). But it may be worth reporting the issue to Wilco, because it indicates a problem with their aircraft using DX10.

Did they advertise that particular model as DX10 compatible?

Look at the aircraft textures that you can't see, and see if they are in .bmp or .dds format.

FSX will still display .bmp. But DX10 needs to see .dds.
