Someone has not been reading the instructions to the letter... Has one !.

Read fully the text, especially the part in RED.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

AREA 51 -- Groom Lake Facility FS2004
By TJ Synkral <tjarea51@ien.cjb.net>

Please report any bugs (and only bugs, not requests, suggestions, etc.).

Freeware - Feel free to update and improve, but please include this full readme document.

IMPORTANT INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Copy the Area 51 folder into your Addon Scenery folder under FS9.
2. Start FS9 and add the Area 51 folder to your scenery library.
3. Very important step: Open scenery.cfg under FS9 and add this to the Area 51 entry
(usually at the bottom):

Flatten.0=4455,N37 18,W115 52,N37 18,W115 44,N37 09,W115 44,N37 09,W115 52

If you do not do this there is a chance that there will be a hill in the middle of the
runway.
4. The airport is listed as Area 51, ID NV51.
Mercury VORTAC "MCY": 117.50
AFCAD radio did not work in testing, so FS2004 assigns a UNICOM. Anyone who knows how to
set up the control tower/ground radios, you're welcome to fix it.

If scenery.cfg didn't exist, you'd be having more problems than you have right now.

It's in the main FS2004 folder. *DRIVE LETTER*:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9

Exactly as Ricktobin has told you...........

Open up your FS9 main folder......... Look for the file named Scenery.cfg (highlighted in blue on first picture)

Double click on this cfg file, this will open it up, scroll all the way down to the bottom, you will see Area 51. Now add, or copy and past the line they tell you, so it shows the same as in picture 2.

Finally........ SAVE THE .CFG FILE..... otherwise you will be back again telling us it does not work........ I have tried it, and it does...

I can't think of any other simple way of getting this across to you, unless you wanna pay my airfare, and I'll come and do it for you...........

Can't say I am a lover of this addon, I have already deleted it from my fs9.

Mel.
