I am in search of the elusive 747-409(lcf) Dreamlifter. I have already looked at POSKY, did a search on Simviation, and AVSim and nothing has come up yet.. In anyones travels, have any of you happen to come across this for download for FS9??? if you have could you point me in the right direction ?

I have started liking flying the EXTREME HEAVIES, such as the AN-225, Alphasim C-5.. and would love to try my hand at this beauty. (especially if i open the tail at 30,000 lol )

heres a link to a pic of the plane if you are unfamiliar with it.

Those match the title but not the actual airframe capt. is looking for.

These look to be mostly standard -400's with a different livery on them.

capt... This may take a complete new model to create because of the overall shape difference.

the one for POSKY is the correct one. its labeled under 747-400 (being it is in the 400 series) but the picture is of the 409 Large Cargo Lifter... http://www.projectopensky.com/thumbnails/1167.jpg ---- this was the one i was looking for. now its time to load this baby down with 10% fuel, 80% load capacity... and ask for a Refuel Tanker so i can get the other 90% fuel for the flight from KCHS, Charleston SC to Boeing Field to make a delivery.

bold. go to the SOUND folder of that aircraft... it is "alias to 747_400 sounds" well, the 747-400 is ALIAS TO 737-300 !!!! youll need to change this.

OPEN the default 747-400, copy the sound folder.

now go back to this new DREAMLIFTER and DELETE its sound folder and PASTE in the one from the 747-400 as it is alias to 737-300.

i do not know why Microsoft did it this way, but at least until you, i, we, someone can find specific 747 sounds, then you can at least have some kind of engine sound.
