| I have more than 1,000 aircraft installed, and most of them utilize the Garmin GPS 500. Yesterday, I installed a newly revised Space Shuttle, and the instructions called for the modification of the panel.cfg, etc. Now, all of a sudden, I've lost my gps displays on all of my aircraft, including the new Space Shuttle installation. I deleted the Space Shuttle, and I went into the FS2004 Gauges folder, and I tried to get rid of the gauges that came along with the Space Shuttle. I've even tried re-installing the Garmin GPS gauge "cab" suite. So far, no luck............ This happened to me once before, years ago. It was something simple, but I was not computer literate in those days. Someone in a forum solved my issue. I cannot remember the details, so I guess I'm still not computer literate, ( years later ), and I still need HELP! .... Please help me. Thank You...... |

Try reinstalling off the disc(s) your gps.dll and put it in your main fs9 folder. That should take care of the problem.

Crap....
I don't have FS9 reinstalled yet, so I'm not sure what I should be looking at or for (it helps if you have the game installed )
I had the same problem a few months back. Downloaded something or other, and it took it out. I had it fixed in like 2 hours.
Try this. Find a download panel that includes the Garmin 500, and install all the gauges in the gauges folder. Do not install anything else, unless you want it.
If I remember right, that's what I did, to get it back.
Sorry for being so vague on the problem, and a correct fix.

| i was going to be a smart alick and say your avionics was off. but. i think if ya retrace your steps and try and get that space shuttle again. and trace the gauges in it's file in the flightsimulators main gauge file. ya might be able to fix it that way as well. sir. |
