This is only for the F14D, and nothing else. But could be.
I'm somewhere between the start and middle stages of....hopefully a kick butt afterburner effect for the F14D Tomcat. As I get it right, or close to what I want to see and experience, I'll update it here.
I'll either post up pics or vids of where I am on it. Or both. As well, where things went horribly wrong.
Here's a short vid of it, minus a few eye candies. As well, a few pics.
The Batburner was a good one, but this will blow it away.

Holy moly...you're a magician! We definitely have to talk soon.
Will you consider saving a version of what you have so far as well? What I mean is the effect in progress has appeal to me just as it is so far...even though I know you'll probably add to it, extending a flame cone, etc. As you know, I love the 18 - foot long blowtorch burner flame sets big time, but find short, hot-looking burner effects extremely useful too.
Awesome as usual RD, I'm very happy that you create these beautiful effects, I haven't got the time or patience to dive in and figure this stuff out, among my own messes of creation!
That is, assuming you'll let me play....I can't offer anything up for trade.
*burbs guiltily...and it smells like JD and ice cream *

Without the cone effect, it looks pretty close to the real thing.

It is gorgeous, eh?
I have seen some carrier footage...and at night, those blowtorch flames are really there, rings and all.
A thing of beauty for sure!
Isn't it great how the little boy in us always loves big fire and loud noises!

That's what I mean Hark, RD nailed it!
And I have been on the Carrier to see it, feel it, smell it, and taste it.
That right there is a thing of beauty!

Wow guys, thanks for the great response.
I've seen them in person on the USS Constellation, and it was a sight and smell, you will never forget.
Here's a file pic, of just the half of it, of what you saw in the vid.
Making the cone(s) will be harder, and take more time.

| extreme bummer......it appears as though RD's burner vid is one of those lost to the site database rollback. I kinda wanted to check it out. But having gone catfishing before, I can wait for the real deal.

I think we can work something out for the 747. Maybe even a new paint, to go along with it.

| Outstanding looking effect so far mister, I love that I can see the flame fluctuation...even far away in a small video format.
