I tried this for fun and found it to be a good challenge, I've only tried it once as of this post but managed to land it without damage, and on the runway....but it was a really really ugly landing, with me careening around like a clown just before touchdown, trying to line up! (It was fun!)
Go get the 'The 737 Experience' plane

(FS2004 The 737 Experience by Moach v1.2 ......direct download - thanks G.S.)
...set it up for landing 5 miles out from your favourite airport, and fail one of the engines. |

sorry hark and GS....... For those that want to see what it looks like before you download it, here is the DETAILS page for the direct link above.... http://www.surclaro.com/download.php?op=viewdownloaddetails&lid=13011&ttitle=737exp12.zip That can tell you a little more about the plane..... from what i read, it sounds like an EXCELLENTLY made craft.
More of a challenge from Harks 5nm out , kill 1 engine... at 1 mile out, kill the other one, and TRY to glide it in!! Hope you got someone at the airport waiting with a clean pair of boxer shorts for ya.. lol |

| You can search the forum and see where I have recommended this bird on many occasions. It is one of the top ten freeware FS9 models of all time. A step above the default '37 to be sure. |

For sure...it's so good I went looking for anything else by the brothers 'Moach', only to find out that the 737 Experience is all they've done. It looks great, flies like a dozen bunnies and the animations of flaps and stuff is very convincing. You even get individual fan blades modeled in the engines on the one that I have. It's a must have.
I find that gliding in the 737 with no engines is easier by far than fighting the effect of having only one engine. Assuming you have enough height to reach your runway without engines, it's just a matter of making a smooth landing. With one engine only you're fighting that differential effect of the plane wanting to turn. I found it hard to line up, and in some ways similar to fighting a weird cross-wind. |

It's one of the 737's I used as a repaint to further the Maddie fleet, but I didnt feel the panel came up to expectations. Thats why I am holding back on it.

I have to say that the Project Opensky 737 has better flight dynamics...
But I don't think they have a VC. |

Interesting T-Fish, but you have to remember I have a really cheesy computer. I tried a Project Opensky 767 yesterday and had trouble with frame rates. The 'Moach' 737 is easy on my poor ol' PIII! |
