Pentium 4?? That's beyond outdated.
What is your budget? (And do you live in US?)
Edit: nvm, you do live in the US
Give me a budget and I can put together something quick and simple. |

| Why would you want AGP in a new PC? AGP is beyond ancient, and there's no such thing as a game not being able to run on PCI-Express. |

Why does the motherboard need an AGP slot? It is slow and it is discontinued technology.
The list I provided already has a video card, but it uses PCI-Express 2.0 x16, a far more superior technology.
But I can give you a cheaper list though, just give me some time. |

| How much performance are you willing to expect? I'm having a hard time squeezing a good gaming computer down to 400 dollars. |

What are your current PC specs, in full detail.
There is no way your PCI card can't play games. If your AGP card can, so can the PCI card.
You might have a driver issue, but, first, post up your system specs as they are now.

| to t-fish. gimme sometime on that one sir. i'll get that to ya. and to the other guys. there is infact a game that won't run on a pci card. it is called 18 wheels of steel haulin. and it dose need an agp graphics card. other wise it runs so slow i can't run it. i have a 512mb pci card in this pc and it won't run that game at all. but it runs fs04 pretty good sometimes. |

That's PCI. PCI is slower than AGP.
Here's how the lineup is, from fastest to slowest.
PCI-Express, AGP, PCI.
For most video cards, the standard is PCI-Express 2.0 x16, a far more superior and better technology. Any game can play on it.
What kind of performance do you want out of a new computer? If you want a lot, 400 dollars won't get you much. |
