when making flight plans for your aircraft, you will have to specify WHAT KIND OF AIRPLANE is flying said plan. This is where you can put in your downloaded PMDG 747, or POSKY 757, etc etc etc.
as always, READ THE README! file / howto's / HELP that comes with the program to learn how to use it.
I'm sure that Mel, GS, RD, Tfish, yall might know something better, but all I can suggest is TTOOLS.
If you get ttools, Print out the README! and read it 3 times BEFORE using the program as it can be fairly confussing without, then read it again as you use the program.

YEEAAH.... Somebody has been paying attention. One gold star for you. LOL
You do have to be careful of what a/c you use. If you have 5 or more planes that are very detailed and poly heavy, they will effect your frame rates.
You can usually find good quality planes with the textures you want in AI format. If you can, use them instead.
Otherwise Ttools is what you want, and what I use. Once you get a couple planes and flights setup, you are good to go. And DO, print out the readme.
