DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

We've heard this phrase quite a bit after the United States Marine Corps coined it for their recruitment campain, for television press and radio. We've seen it used in recruitment for various military VOA's on the internet. I'm even guilty of using in the text introduction for a video I produced posted at YouTube entitled "Operation Cope Tiger" But I think there is something missing in this phrase if someone wants to ask people if they want to become a Virtual Military Aviator.

My name is Maj. General Al "Doc" Weber, Deputy Commandant-Logistics of the Virtual United States Marine Corps. and I am here to present a challenge to people who have the desire to become true Vitual Military Aviators. ARE YOU READY to have what it takes to be a vUSN/vUSMC aviator, I feel is the right question to ask.

The vUSMC has recently merged with the Virtual United States Navy, {vUSN} and both organizations are currently working to put into place a virutal counterpart of the real world USN and USMC command structure, along with thier real world operational relationship. What both organizations want and need, are dedicated Rotory Wing pilots who are READY TO HAVE WHAT IT TAKES !! If this peaks you interest, please read on.

What we do at the vUSN/vUSMC is simulate real world operations based on real world training. As a fellow virtual helo pilot, I know first hand about the dedication it takes to master "The Beast". Not easy, but very rewarding!! "Helo jocks" are a breed apart, and truly do live "by the seat of thier pants"! To fly an otherwise aerodynamicly unstable aircraft 50ft. above the deck at a 100knts, and full of Marines that are trusting you to get them to thier objective in one piece, and ready to fight, is not something everyone can do.

If you ever had the dream or desire to be a part of an organization of Virtual Naval/Marine Corps Aviators dedicated to simulating real world Naval/Marine Corps operations, based on real world training, then I would say that, YOU ARE READY!

And when you get to the part about supporting FS9 only, don't let that scare you off!My staff and I are currently working hard to change that!! We are working to allow support of both FS9 and FSX versions of Flight Simulator, and are looking to have the capablity soon!!
If all you have is FSX, I encourage you to drop me a line! majgendoc@live.com
I will give you the latest update on the progress of FS9/FSX dual support. We will be there real soon!!! Only weeks away!!

Till then, "Happy Hunting!!!" and I look forward to seeing your recruit documents on my desk!!!

Maj. Gen. Al "Doc" Weber
Deputy Commandant - Logistics
1st Battlion 6th Marines 24th MEU
Virtual United States Marine Corps.
