lets say you have a touch
screen monitor,

and with your finger you could
flip switches and stuff

wouldn't that be realistic

heres another idea, I know this sounds weired but

maybe there should be a
rumble seat

ya know, one of those things
were you put a flat cushion thingi
on the chair, and once you get turbulence
or right when you land
the cushion rumbles

this would be hooked up to the pc
( the seat cushion)

Okay people, lets keep it in the realm of the doable. We're talking about how to improve Flight Simulator within the program itself. Some of this stuff is best left to all you future businessmen and entrpreneurs.

One thing that I reeeealy would like to have is a larger flight planner map. In high resolutions the map only takes up a small square in the middle of the monitor. It would be nice to have the map take up the full screen except for the map toolbar at the top of the screen.

I would like to see a full host of Air Emergency possibilites from Equipment Failure, Engine Fire/Failure, Airframe Failure, Hull Breach, Bird Strike, Load Shift, Landing Gear Problem(s), a range of Passenger Problems-- including medical emergencies, Fire and Smoke in the Cockpit/Cabin encorporated, along with an more far ranging list of ATC parameters with which to deal with these problems. These Emergencies could be arranged in a Low, Moderate, High or Basic, Moderate, Advanced contingency basis.

I would also like to see exterior motion effects for ground support trucks, trailers, haulers, fuelers in motion on the field.

Last but not least, parking attendants at the gates.

Better ATC: Holds, Diversion to alternate with new vectors, emergencies with vectors to nearest suitable airport (or airport of your choice) depending on aircraft type and clearing/holding other traffic approaching said airport, giving you priority, verbal taxi instructions (i.e. "Cessna 1234 Delta, turn left at next taxiway"), request any runway you want, ground directs you to a specific or selected parking spot instead of "taxi to general aviation parking" and eliminate pink taxi route lines.

Also, the ability to tell ATC "Negative, Center, cannot comply" followed by new options from ATC, and "Center, commencing emergency descent due to loss of pressurization, require 8,000 MSL" with headings to clear terrain if necessary from ATC.

i think that there should be a wider range of aircraft, you know like airships ,hot ballons, handgliders, skydivers, parahawks, parachuting etc: after all it is 'flight' simulator not 'plane & helicopter' simulator

lol, in the future, just about everything you guys say will come true (maybe except that weird touch screen idea) The only thing that holds you back is the computer power. When the general accepted computer specs increases to something like 10 gigs of RAM, think of the possibilities you can have with FS...By the time teens (like me) become old (like Exx) FS will be truly "as real as it gets"

PS: Sorry about that Exx, im only kiddin'

Edit by Exx: LOL. That's ok. I look 30's and act 20's anyways so the number is irrelevant. Oh, FYI...there are systems out there with 32GB or ram already.

guys you are retarded about the crash effects

firs of all if you go into ur fs settings you can change it and make it so you wing falls off and you still fly but doing barrel rolls an a bunch of stuff

theres plenty of crash effects you can download like in mine if i crashed into the epire state building in a 747 i would see my plane explode and the hole building tumble down into dust

if i crash into the ground you see my plane explode and peices go everywhere the effects that i have are pretty much as rreal as it gets

it also fixes where if a 747 runs into a tree its not a crash your gear just gets a little damaged.

a good thing would be, i havent seen one bird in the sky, you can probobly make a plane thats a bird then set like 500 of them doing random flights but might as well have the be good quallity and flap wings and stuff
