First let me say Flight Sim is great. However I do have some ideas that could make it even better.
1) Ability to update frequencies, runways and all other types of information that actually changes in the real world. I get updated Jep Charts every two weeks and so Flight Sim becomes outdated for practicing real world IFR approaches very fast.
2) Better GPS functionality
a. DME on the gps is not accurate enough for IFR flight
b. Should be able to position GPS on 2nd monitor so it doesn't cover other instruments.
c. Ability to switch to many real world GPS units since they are becoming so important for IFR flying. Since I rent airplanes with many different types of GPS's it would be great to practice with the one I am going to fly next.
d. WAAS capable GPS
3) Better IFR simulation. It is not realistic to always be given vectors. ATC should ask you to hold. You should have some feed back on if you did the hold correctly and what you could have done better. ATC should get upset with you when you do things wrong (fly off an airway, turn the wrong way in a procedure turn...) Sometimes you should be given the visual and have to ask for the ILS...
4) IFR check ride tests should be more realistic. Maybe one for each concept ex. stall, steep turn, flying with magnetic compass only, enter a holding pattern. If you could start a sim check ride and the instructor would ask you to do different things each time that would be superior.
Again I have to say this is still an awesome tool that has helped me to be a better pilot in the real world.
Thanks

FS Passengers can support that. Is it payware?
EDIT: Nvm. It's shareware. |

I for one would like to see more crash realism. I dont mean a fire and explosion etc. but I would like to see tyre blowouts, control surface damages, flap damage, smoke from a failed engine, etc.
I would also like to see motion blur or some such fx to get the real visual feel of a 160 Kts touchdown.
And a tug or whatever you call it for pushback would be nice.
Easier tools to edit scenery files from within the software would be a big boon dont you think?
I wonder if some day, like you get realtime weather from Jeppesen, realtime scenery may be available from Google earth or some such service? Should be a great advancement! I am sure there are a lot more of goodies that can be added to this product for future improvement! |

I would like the next MFS to have ATC that corresponds with the country. It does'nt sound very realistic when your flying from Heathrow and hear all ATC in American! |

| It would be nice to have each countries accents seperate, as there some funny ways British airports are pronounced, another nice thing would be an easier multiplayer set up, as when I first tried to play multiplayer I spent a very long time trying to figure it out, and even then it wouldn't let me host sessions. |

| better and more views!! i want to move spot view smoothly, i want to move around easily (WO F1View or the like), i want to be able to control the tower view, i want personalizable views (like v1 v2 etc). the view system currently in fs9 purely stinks and i am NOT ok with it. the sim even does not have the flight sim-obligator "fly-by" view. |

This is basic computer knowledge. Of course you can run other programs running while playing FS9. You need a good processor to support intense multitasking though.

From what i have seen, "I think" microsoft is going to use the xbox360 in some fashion????? At CESThey showed using an xbox360 controller for fsx. My guess is, they will use it for online as well.. SELL some more xboxes too.
Just my take..we will see

I got a big list...
-Better crash effects... not just a bunch of fire in the middle of the plane
-Flights dont have to be restarted after you crash... for example, you can lose one part and end the flight when you want to....
-Parts falling off the aricraft without crashing... kinda like above but oh well...
-More Stable and less crashes (as in PC locks up)
-real taxiways and runways textures
-real buildings
-properly sized mountains and locations
-every airport has visible jetways (if the airport in real life has jetways)
-more realistic moon and sun
-more detailed terrain rather then a blob of earthly colors
-more buildings
-ability to run without a disk
-real airlines and accurate aircraft models and flight dynamics
-more frequent real world weather downloads
-realistic grass textures
-realistic sky textures
-realistic road textures
-no "holes" in the scenery so planes dont hop around like jumping beans
-more realistic touchdown effects
-realistic strobe colors
-non synchronous strobe flash
-more accurate landing light beam
-proper lighting intensity
-people visible through glass of buildings
-A WHOLE BUNCH OF OTHER STUFF THAT I AM TOO LAZY TO LIST lol
