| Is there a way to include more real airlines and aircraft into the ATC database, so they're part of the AI traffic? Even though I've downloaded plenty of new and real airlines and aircraft, the only ones in the AI are the original FS2002 airlines and aircraft. It'd be cool to have more. |

Hopefully, I can give you an understandable answer....
What I did was opened a default plane's .cfg file and took note of what was entered in the ATC portion of the file. This shows you the airline name and flight number. I compared it to a add-on plane that I downloaded, to see what made the FS2K2 ATC recognize the aircraft. I simply added what was appropriate to the new aircraft's .cfg file, (name, flight number, etc.) If you change the information in the .cfg file, be sure to save it. Make a back up copy of the aircraft's original .cfg file, just in case.
Hope this helps. |

Most use AFCAD. This adds AI traffic to a specific airport, but not the actual aircraft.
Maybe a better answer can be found here: www.planesimulation.com.
The guys here are masters at doing exactly what you're asking about.
Hope this helps! |
