actually im looking for someone to create a nice UFO addition for fs2k4. i have the 2k2 version of a few UFOs but they dont work right or there not what im wanting. if you would be willing to create this plane i would be greatfull. heres what im looking for the ufo to be able to do.
-very quickly accelerate from 0 to 2500 mph, no slow down going vertical
-stop to a hover from full speed
-multidirectional flight, up down left right, 90 degree instant turns
-kewl light effects and sounds
-alien looking cockpit
if this is possible thanks in advance. |

There are a couple of programs out there. GMAX, which ships with Fs9 (FS2004), seems to make the best models but is cumbersome to use and has a pretty steep learning curve. It is free. For a little money you can dance on over to www.abacuspub.com and purchase FSDS, which from what I gather reading the forums is a little easier to use. Finally, you can check in at www.fsduonline.com and read up on what is going to be an online university to learn such things as 3D modeling, scenery design and repainting aircraft for Flight Simulator. Or you can hope that somebody will make a new UFO for you |

For more information on gmax check them out at.......http://www4.discreet.com/gmax/
you can also find several tutorials and hints/tips online by using your search browser.
You can also keep checking in at www.fsduonline.com for info on when modeling classes will start. |

| Even from the lofty perch of knowledge I have accumulated I am afraid Gmax is gobbledygook to me also. I have made it as far as the three view and some simple shapes. Once the dust has settled around FSDUonline and Bluestream Airlines I will be able to devote more time to it so I can make my dream plane. |

hehe i heard that bro. i am looking into fsds but im affraid i really dont have that kind of money. sad too because i think i could create alot of fun aircraft. i know i got the patience and the time just little short of the cashola
too bad they dont have a trial version so i could at least see if im going to be able to use it. i am usually good at sitting down and figuring out these sort of things but i have to admit that this is way over my head so far. |

| GUYS! i was told about anim8tor software and i got messing with it. first i created and eggplant and finally got my UFO halfway done. i have the basic shape of it, color matirial set and smoothed out. looks like a nice dark grey disk. i dunno how to put lights on it or anything but i have the basic shape of it exported into a *.3ds file. now what i do with it from here? |

| Dont forget to bury your brain in the Microsoft Software Developers Kits, they are available for free and will tell you a lot of what you need to know. Sorry man, but you're gonna have to do your homework in order to make this thing fly. |
