I am interested in learning the art of Designing. . .both aircraft and scenery. There are a lot of airports that I am familiar with that could use some enhancements to make them even more accurate and more enjoyable to fly into, but how??Also aircraft design or at least repainting. I am with the 301st Fighter Wing and would like to take a basic F-16 and repaint with our "finflash" and markings. What programs are recommended and where do I find them? Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,

| Well, I'm one who wishes that he could do scenery too, but I'm about as educated on that as Martha Stewart is on flying a 757. As for your F-16 repaint, I've just begun getting my fingers wet in repainting, and I've found that nothing is as essential as Jasc's Paintshop pro. You can download a trial version at download.com, or you can probably get it from the Jasc site as well. (It's good for like 30 days. Last time I downloaded it, it eventually expired, and I was able to just re-DL it...not sure if that's still the case. I'm ready to find out soon though...almost expiration time.) Also, the imagetool program that is in the FS2002 folder is a must have. Otherwise, your images are going to look like bad TV reception. There are some great tutorials out there that I learned from! Check 'em out. And finally, from a former Marine, let me offer my thanks for your service to our country. It's truly appreciated. |
